I wish this place would move closer to Indy. Such a surprise! Staff was friendly, food came out fast and the gyoza and sushi were so delicious. Top 5 sushi we hVe had in the Indy area for sure!

My daughter and I go here at least once a week for sushi. I’m super picky and I love it. Please support this restaurant so it stays open.

Unbelievably good. I’m from out of town, travel a lot and always eat at local restaurants. This restaurant has excellent food(the chicken tempura is the best I’ve ever had) and the service is excellent. I’d eat here at least once a week if I lived in Anderson.

Great food! Authentic Japanese! The place doesn’t look great from the outside but what a gem on the inside! Must try! Indy 500 roll was awesome!

Friendly staff, good food, clean building. I’m not a sushi expert, but I really enjoyed my California roll and eel avacado roll. My 9 year old got the sweet and sour chicken with rice. The yum yum sauce was on point. The restaurant was very clean. I checked the restroom and they were spotless. I look forward to coming back again and again.

My favorite Asian food restaurant! Yes i said restaurant… Not buffet., and that’s a good thing. Each dish I’ve had there was well made, hot of the grill, and seasoned well.(not pure salt but awesome flavor) Oh yeah… The service is great to. Personal attention, friendly, and attentive. The building is older but very clean. I hope this place is open for a long time.

Loved it! The Indy 500 sushi roll was one of the best I’ve ever had! Prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was clean & nice ambience. Our server was especially friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Wife and I have been to Japan. Love Sushi rolls. The Ninja is great for fresh sushi rolls in Anderson. Priced reasonably. Fresh ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere.

It’s good… For Anderson Asian. I love express Japanese restaurants and was excited for this to open up, however was not amazed by the food. It’s ok but not great, veggies are lacking and sauce seems a bit week. I would eat there again because I prefer a lighter Asian fare occasionally and this is close.

This place is a great place to bring the family or a date. Not only is the food extremely delicious, but the ambience is great. There was foreign music playing in the background, but it wasn’t obstructive to conversation. The décor was Asian with lots of dark woods utilized for the booths and walls. For those who have been in the building before, there has been a lot of renovations and you might not recognize it! The inside is very open with lots of seating. You get a lot of food for the price you pay and the taste I’d quite authentic. This is not your typical run of the mill Asian cuisine and I look forward to my second visit. The staff is very cordial.

We decided to change it up from our usual Sakura Japan or Fuji(in Muncie) and check this place out. In short, not impressed. We ordered their California, spicy tuna, philly, and tuna avacado rolls. The fish was great in both the Philly and the tuna rolls. The spicy tuna was dry and flavorless. Miso soup and the ginger dressing both lacked flavor and weren’t anything to write home about. No idea if the premium rolls are any better, but the basic rolls were subpar. In general though, good service, nice people, average food.

I’m delighted to have a sushi option in Anderson that isn’t a buffet or located in the casino! This is a little place where Penguin Point and Hamburger High used to be. They’ve nicely redecorated the inside(and apparently corrected some plumbing faux pas) – the textured wallpaper is beautiful. The menu consists of appetizers, sushi rolls(raw, non-raw, and deep-fried), soups and salads, rice bowls, entrees, a handful of Chinese dishes, fried rice, yakisoba, and sides. Each category only has a few options, but that’s fine. We shared the gyoza, dynamite roll, and the yakisoba combination. The gyoza have wonderfully delicate wrappers, and are pan-fried enough to be crispy but not burnt. The dynamite roll was beautiful, almost artistic in its multicolored layers of sauce and tobiko. The yakisoba was good, but didn’t quite rise to the level of the others. We definitely need to come back and sample the other dishes(and the Indy 500 roll, which includes jalapeño peppers). I very much hope that Ninja of Japan lasts longer than Hamburger High did and provides an unexpected note of diversity in Anderson for years to come.
