Summers came out to do a tune up on our furnace. Story of our lives, it needed to be replaced. We knew that would be the answer, but we just didn’t need it just yet. However, the Summers employee offered us the best furnace in our price range, and showed us others. He was excellent, kind, and knew what he was talking about. We scheduled our replacement a few days later and they were on time, quick, and respectful of our time and home. I will ask Summers to continue to come do our tune ups.

We received a letter from this company telling us they would do a tune-up on our furnace for $ 54.00. The guy came, took a cursory look at the furnace; told us it was unsafe; shut it off and refused to turn it back on; and gave us a quote for a new furnace(to the tune of $ 5,263). And, he still charged us $ 54 for the tune-up, which he didn’t do. We subsequently called Coovert Heating and Air Conditioning. Their repairman checked our furnace, said it needed to be replaced, but could be run without worry until a new one could be installed. He quoted us a price of $ 2,828. Obviously we went with Coovert. We got the feeling that all Summers was doing was trying to scare us and strong arm us into purchasing from them. We got a new furnace within 2 days for about half the price. It was the exact same model and make that Summers quoted.
