We recently used Two Old Tarts to bake our wedding cake and could not be more pleased with the results. The cake was exactly what we had in mind — simple yet elegant — and absolutely delicious. The cake itself was moist, the filling fresh and the buttercream may just be the best I’ve ever had. Laurie Day was amazing — worked around our schedule completely. She delivered the cake right when we wanted it, decorated with the flowers and topper we had left for her and the final presentation was flawless. We couldn’t be happier!

This place is darling! We ate here for brunch on the deck and had some cake for dessert. The woman who makes the cakes is clearly very talented… after trying that one slice, we went back to the bakery side to get slices of all the cakes she made that day. It was a great treat!

Amazing place! We placed a large 18 tart order from Scott at two old tarts for our wedding, and we have zero regrets! They absolutely blew us away! Beautiful, delicious, variety and quality! Punctual, reliable! Thank you so very much for making our wedding awesome! Who needs cake when you can have tarts?! However, I should also say that in addition, we got 3 quiches and a birthday cake, and they were equally wonderful. Thanks to Scott and John and keep doing what you are doing! –allison and bob

Came here tonight for dinner and all I can say is WOW! The staff was so sweat and the food so fresh and delicious! I had the pan seared duck with rainbow potatoes and baked acorn squash– so tender and flavorful. My mother had the swordfish with crisp asparagus wrapped in bacon and she loved it! We even had the pleasure of meeting owners; they informed me that they’re menu changes weekly! Highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area.

Took family out for dinner here — unfortunately one of us had serious food poisoning a few hours later and another was sick — suspect the food pre-cooked elsewhere and reheated — we’ve heard the pastries are good. But don’t go for dinner under any circumstances. A shame as this area of the Catskills is blessed with great local produce …

We picked up the mocha almond cake for a birthday and everyone agreed this was the perfect cake. The cake was moist and flavorful and the icing was delicious and not too heavy. This cake is perfect for the end of a great meal. Easy to enjoy without giving you that wish I didn’t eat so much feeling. And lots of delicious sliced almonds! We didn’t get to enjoy the eat in service, but we could tell it was great. VERY popular spot!

The owners did a great update/renovation. Outdoor porch has umbrellas. We both enjoyed the house special tuna salad. Great cappuccino for this area.

Stopped by this gem in Andes this afternoon, which I almost passed on, thinking it was closed. I had some technical difficulties with the door knob! It was either a faulty door knob or I just needed coffee. LOL I ordered the plain pancakes but mistakenly YET gladly got the oatmeal-banana-blueberry version instead and it was melt-in-your-mouth-better-than-grandma’s-pancakes! The bacon was a thicker cut than you’d get at a diner and the eggs were made exactly how I requested — scrambled dry. The best part of Two Old Tarts is the lighting. Nothing like having a hearty breakfast in gorgeous sunlight thanks to the large windows, which really opened the place. The host was beyond gracious and I felt so bad I left forgetting to leave a tip! 10 minutes out we had to circle back to leave it with him. LOL. I’m sorry! The yummy pancakes made me comatose! A major plus for me — they’re very clean! Stop by and enjoy for yourself.

Two Old Tarts is nothing short of charming! My 1st time here was when they were located in Bovina — my mother and I came in for pie and coffee and were totally pleased. The next time I was in here was after the move to Andes. This time I enjoyed brunch on the sunny deck. Everything was perfectly cooked while remaining light and flavorful. I then used TOT to cater dessert for my wedding of 120 guests. We had 8 tarts and a small carrot cake — everything tasted amazing! We could not have been happier with how each one turned out — our guests raved about each one as well! We hung around Bovina for a few days and on our drive home we stopped to have lunch. A round of drinks later and after polishing off our lunch we got two coffees to go and continued on our way home to Brooklyn. What a pleasure it was to work with TOT and what a delightfully hidden gem in Andes — you must go!

Two Old Tarts moved from Bovina Center to Andes– just 10 driving minutes away. They not only do breakfast and lunch, but have added dinner. The menu changes weekly, though there are a few constant items. Food is great, very affordable and the ambience is country chic. Service is wonderful & it is hard not to become a regular if you are anywhere in the area. Deb

As good as it gets. As a «city kid»(in my late 40’s but still calling myself a kid), this place is just what the doctor ordered… inviting comfortable surroundings and terrific staff. Artisan brunches without the attitude. I hesitate to write this review for fear that too many will discover it, but I cant be that selfish. Go there for brunch and you will see what I mean!

Was visiting Bovina over the Juy 4th weekend and stopped over for a light breakfast. Had a really tasty breakfast sandwich and could not leave without trying some of their baked goods, the sticky bun with pecans was delicious. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Domt forget to grab a baguette on the way out.

Two Old Tarts is a fantastic example of what seems to be a growing trend of artisan food purveyors in the Catskills. Entering though the front doors you will find yourself in a bright, warm, inviting space reminiscent of a country kitchen. The baking going on in the back serves as an olfactory reminder that everything on offer is made right there in-house. I set up shop at the bar seating in the bay windows at the front which afforded a wonderful view of «bustling» Bovina Center(see photo) and spent a couple of very productive hours getting some work done. I had a soy latte which was perfectly made and a Coffee Cake Muffin which was out of this world delicious. Pricing is decidedly«downstate», but is absolutely justified considering the quality. Sadly, I was 20 minutes down the road before I realized I forgot to grab a baguette to go and it was a disappointing realization indeed as they looked amazing. I will most certainly be making many return trips when I’m up in the Catskills — if only to snag that baguette!

Beautifully renovated building on Bovina Center’s Main Street. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent café and bakery with gourmet coffee, breakfast and lunch. Very chid-friendly too, with great pastries, and books and toys to play with. A hidden gem tucked off Route 28.
