Went here with my girlfriend, neither of us camp. The staff was super nice, we had the whole place to ourselves, and there were Emus. Like the big bird things. Besides being able to hear the highway, there’s wasn’t much noise. Also, it was a lot cheaper than most places we looked at. I’d go back for sure.

The location and beach and petting zoo is great but some staff members are rude and judge mental. Not good if you’re out of the ordinary at all(tattoos, colored hair)

This campground is good for the kids. There is a lot for them to do. The campground has a nice park with playhouse. The owners have goats, emu, horse and pony for the kids to pet and feed. The lake is nice for wading as it is quite shallow for a long way out. The negative is the campsites are packed in very tightly. The placment of the fire ring is awkward. It is right behind were you back a camper in. The bathrooms are up to date and quite clean. Not sure this would be a good place to tent camp. The campground is wooded enough that feels like you are farther away the you really are. Not bad for a quick weekend getaway.

Now I’m not what you would call an avid outdoorsmen, but I do like to camp. I have to say if your going to pack up and look for some outdoor fun, head further north. This place is crowded and difficult to navigate, not to mention I just never got the«outdoor» feel here as it is very close to Hwy 65.
