State of Bean Coffehouse

The barista at the drive thru seemed annoyed when I asked what was in one of the beverages. They didn’t have the breakfast item on the menu that I wanted so I went with the cinnamon scone which ended up being dry and tasteless. The iced coffee was good but nothing special. Disappointed because I was hoping this would be a nice change of pace to my morning Caribou but will probably not go back.

The bean has an amazing ambience. It is the perfect place to meet up with a friend for a meal, or a glass of wine. The food is great. The only issue is that it is a little slow. But you always receive great service! I would recommend it to a friend!

Disgusting! The Super G Latte was awful, I still get a gag reflex when I think of that sweet disgusting mess. When I complained I was told «well these drinks are for people who don’t like the taste of coffee» ummm, I have had Lattes that don’t taste like sugary milky dishwater (can’t pinpoint their secret flavor, this is my description). No replacement offered, I left the full drink drink when I left
Now the food: The «yummy» or whatever Bagel Sandwich with ham, it was about almost as bad as the coffee. The sandwich was made with a low quality bagel, cheap ham, American cheese and topped with a rubbery egg. The final item I had was the sweet roll… It was almost like the just put caramel and whip cream on a hamburger bun with a light dusting of cinnamon.
$ 11+ that I won’t ever get back, I will avoid this place at all costs. I can’t stand McDonald’s, but would choose McDonald’s horrible coffee and food over this place!

I love this place. Now admittedly, I only come in on Thurs. nights and I’ve only ever gotten the decaf., but it’s really good. It’s not bitter. It’s roasted by the owner I guess.
It’s a very clean place with lots of different magazines and some board games. The prices are very reasonable and the one staff member I’ve met is very kind. I sit there and knit in peace and quiet and it’s just a great place.
