Super cute and nice stop on our way up to the Great Smokey Mountains from Atlanta. It is super small inside but they have a nice deck and outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your wine and beer. Samples are $ 1-$ 2. Bottles are $ 15-$ 18. The wine seems good for North Carolina/Georgia standards. We brought food to eat but there is supposedly a burger place down the road that delivers to Calaboose Cellars as well. The grounds are small but so pretty– a few vineyards, raised garden beds and bamboo forest are all right there. The people in Andrews are SUPER friendly as well. We went on Friday night when there was supposed to be music but unfortunately, the 2 singers did not show because of the rain. I’m still very happy we made this stop!

Awesome experience! The Arrowhead Red IPA is definitely worth a try. There were little snacks to munch on while tasting the beer flight or a sample of wine! Definitely recommend coming here!

We stopped in while passing through Andrews for a beer and glass of wine, and both were good(not amazing, but good). This is a very small cellar/brewery with a fun atmosphere and great outdoor patio.

What a great experience! We were treated to a free wine tasting featuring some of their most popular products. Most were exceptional and we purchased a few bottles to take home. It’s a very small place but I think that just adds to the charm. The lady that helped us was extremely friendly and informative.

What an eclectic little spot. A few good reds and an IPA that’s refreshing on a Summer day. The transplanted New Englanders who run the place are very cordial. Neat to find a winery with a vintner who also dabbles in brewing beer. Nice little patio to hang out and enjoy a glass. You can drive away with a few good bottles of wine and a growler to add some great flavor to your dinner.

We LOVED this cozy, friendly winery/brewery. The owners are extremely friendly, and the products are amazing at reasonable prices. We were staying about 30 minutes away, and it was definitely worth the drive. The cellars have a beautiful view of the mountains with a charming seating area. Bought 3 bottles and will definitely order more in the future. We look forward to going back next time we are in the area!

While planning a recent trip to Bryson City I checked to see what wineries were nearby. I’m the beer drinker and was covered with Nantahala Brewery in town, but there aren’t really many wineries up that way. Calaboose was probably the closest and still about 30 mins. away so I wasn’t sure if we would have time to get out there or not as we had something planned for Saturday afternoon. Thankfully we left in time to get there when they opened so we would have enough time to get back to BC. The drive was beautiful and worth it. To say that Calaboose is small is almost an understatement. My living room is about the same size if not bigger. It is housed in what used to be the town jail. We walked in and there were tanks on either side of us and then a small counter where we tasted the wines. Having been to a number of wineries around Raleigh which are predominately muscadine wines, this was a nice change of pace. All were very good and we bought a couple of bottles to take home.

Great little winery found in the mountains of North Carolina. Impressive selection of wines to be produced out of such a small space. We bought three bottles and will definitely order more.
