Have enjoyed every meal here! Great food and great service, what more do you need? Their smoked meats are on point and the sides complement well. Will be back many more times.

Went tonight and ordered 3 meat combo with ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Sides were potato casserole and corn pudding. Food was okay, except the Brisket, which was phenomenal. 3 sauces to choose from at the table, hot BBQ, regular BBQ and vinegar BBQ. Order at counter and they bring you the food. Service was very friendly and several people came and checked to make sure food was okay.

Really had a great time there tonight. Very easy and simple when it comes to ordering. Cashier takes your order/payment and then brings it out. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I had the three meat plate &2 sides to share. Each of the meats I picked were very tasty. Great bark on the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. BBQ sauce was very good as a compliment to the meat. The potato salad could of used some more flavor/seasoning. I do recommend the corn pudding which was spot on. Overall a great clean place to enjoy a meal. See you soon

My new fave! The brisket is amazing! People are super nice minus the girl that had no idea what the menu said. We got 4 meats, 2 sides and 2 pieces of toast for $ 20. It was perfect for 3 people and we got to try a bit of everything ! Yes yes and yes thank you

My husband and I stopped in to dine for the first time yesterday and we are so glad we did! The staff was friendly and attentive while the restaurant was rustic and comfortable without being fussy. We ordered a two-meat platter that comes with two sides and Texas toast. The pulled pork and beef brisket made it all well worth the trip. Both meats were smokie, tender and flavorful even without the very good accompanying sauces on the side. My husband couldn’t stop talking about the Texas-style pinto beans and the potato salad saying they tasted like what he remembered eating growing up. He was born and raised in Texas, and he misses many of the fabulous foods from his home state. Texas Pit BBQ has helped him relive some of his memories of home! Something new we tried that neither of us had ever tasted was the Hashbrown Casserole. This was stunningly good and prepared following a family recipe by one of the owners. The casserole along with some of the other sides plus the smoked meats have the WOW factor and make Texas Pit BBQ worthy of a visit.

First off, I called four times(in ten minutes) and it automatically directed me to their voicemail each time, which was aggravating. I gave it one more chance and finally was able to place my order, which was a bit odd. Second, their side options are quite small and they happened to be out of two of their seven sides(go figure). I ended up having to get two sides that I don’t even particularly like due to their small selection of available choices. At the end the woman asked«Well, when can you get here?» Which to me was a bit odd for a takeout order, since usually they just gave you a duration of time stating when it will be ready. Third, I ordered the two meat plate with brisket and sausage, which I was told that I could not have cooked onions on top, when they offer them on other menu items. It would be a smart idea to maybe offer them as an up-charge, instead of just simply denying a customer’s small request to customize their product for optimal enjoyment. Also, I requested roasted red potatoes and Texas pinto beans as my sides, which both were sold out. Fourth, the food was overall okay. The brisket was cooked PERFECTLY and I really enjoyed the spicy sauce sauce. The sausage was flavored well and it was cooked PERFECTLY. The potato salad and cole slaw were very disappointing. We had three plates, where the sides varied. All three of us agreed that the Cole slaw was bland and had a weird taste, the potato salad was more like bland cold mashed potatoes(texture was off), and the fries were actually good. The Texas toast which came along with my meal was really tasty and I felt that it was a nice touch. The packaging and to-go containers were adequate, which gave me a positive opinion of the establishment’s readiness to process to-go orders. My recommendations: Add more seasoning and ingredients into your potato salad/Cole slaw. It may be more of an upfront cost, but it would make it a hundred times better and would make you have a better product(which is very important in a consumer based business). Also, train your servers to be able to efficiently take to-go orders, since takeout is common in our society. Cooking your fries fresh at pick up is a nice touch and I thought that it was a smart move. BOTTOMLINE: The meat is AMAZING, but the side dishes that we tried were flavorless, bland, and lacked much seasoning whatsoever. All three of us had to add miracle whip and seasoning to our cole slaw to try to salvage it so that it wasn’t a waste, but we weren’t able to. I will be recommending this place for smoked meats, but I will advice them to be careful whenever it comes to your sides. I am happy to support a small local business, but I hope that you take my recommendations into consideration and I see a difference in my future orders from your establishment.

A new Texas style bbq joint in Angier. They have a friedly staff, and a clean restaurant. Inside is mostly booths with a small bar with about 5 taps. Now on to the food. I ordered the chopped brisket plate with a side of potato salad and fried okra. The brisket was a tad fatty with a real good smoked flavor. The potato salad was a complete miss. The only thing adding flavor to it, is the bits of onion. Very bland! The fried okra had too much batter on it. I wasn’t too impressed with their sides. I go to Bragg often, and may give this spot another try.
