The one thing I missed living in LA(growing up in Iowa) was corn. When I was a kid watching the«Wizard of Oz» our neighbor in the early sixties made popcorn balls. When asked about what I was most proud about the state I grew up I said«Corn». Sweet corn(which my grandfather grew), but he had an old fashioned pop corn maker that he would turn the crank on top to pop the corn. I have tried a lot of different types of corn, but this corn pops about 95 to 97 percent. Plus the texture and taste are great. I used to buy«Jolly Pop», but I really feel this is better. I live in Ankeny, and buy it from Fareway. Just great popcorn!

We found Brandmeyer Popcorn at the Des Moines Farmers Market on Court Avenue. They had a large selection of flavored popcorn and all at reasonable prices. We bought the caramel popcorn which had pecans. It wasnt the best caramel corn I’ve had but was still good. Their prices ranged from $ 1 to $ 6 per bag.
