Take your growler for a refill. The first growler refill station in the area. Lots of choices. Prices are a bi higher for spirits and beer but I think you are paying for convenience. The growlers are a great deal. Staff always friendly and usually can help you locate what you are looking for.

Nice store right off of the interstate located very conveniently right off of Delaware in a strip mall. Employees are super friendly and knowledgable!!! Store is super clean and organized and they know their products!!! This is a great stop and easy to find! I will be back if I need something for a party! I just came in for a baking need. Prices are competitive and reasonable !!

Awesome liquor store! Probably the best one I’ve ever been to in my life, not due to size or selection, but based on customer service and cleanliness. The staff member who works here I do not know if he is the manager or owner, but he is very friendly and provides great customer service! I came here not too long ago because I needed to order a keg for a banquet I was having. I went in and he set everything up without hassle and everything was explained clearly. The sizes and different types of kegs are available online so you can take a look so you know what they can offer. They also have a drive-thru which I think is the coolest idea ever for a liquor store! I have not tried their drive-thru service, but an eager to see how it is! Will definitely come back here and give them my business!

Looking for some elevated brews and a unique selection of wines right off the interstate? Peep this place. Perhaps this is just a reflection of modern life, but it’s pretty easy to find terrific local beer these days, thanks to liquor stores like this one. They support local, they know the product, and they’re not very interested in pimping the national watery piss. I didn’t see much in the way of hard liquor, but I wasn’t looking for it, so if you’re after the hard stuff you better call ‘em. Thanks, Des Moines, for hooking me up with a great White IPA and a completely locally-sourced hop monster, forget what it was called, but the flavor was unforgettable.

I feel slightly debaucherous for giving a liquor store a five-star review, but let’s call a spade a spade. I love a good wine and beer selection, and this unassuming little liquor store has it. I-35 opened in December, and they are located right off the 1st street exit. It’s a family-owned store, and the husband and wife team are very friendly and will happily take suggestions on particular beers or wines they should look out for. They keep a spreadsheet of the suggestions they receive, and they actually follow through and order a couple of six packs to try out before they decide whether they’ll carry it. Anytime I stop in, they’re eager to take me on a tour of the beer wall to show me what’s new, ask me how I liked the last item I bought(being greeted like an old friend at a liquor store also feels slightly debaucherous), and they will even open the doors for me if I get there a little after 10pm(not that this happened last night or anything…). This is not your liquor store if you’re looking for Bud Light — I mean, they have it, but they hide«those» beers by themselves in a cooler in the back. :) This is your liquor store if you like to try new things and are interested in new beers and wines that you won’t see anywhere else in town(for a wide variety of price points). They even have a drive-through complete with a picture menu, and they stock dog treats by the window in case you have a pet in the car. How cool is that? It’s so nice to see a family-owned business survive and thrive in Ankeny, the land of chain everything. I know they are planning lots of beer and wine tastings for spring and summer — I can’t wait!
