We were running errands on the SW side of town and had no idea where to eat for dinner. The place has very mixed reviews(normally a bad thing), but we had a gift card so we decided to try it anyway. We are SO glad that we did! The parking lot was full on a Monday evening, which surprised us. Turns out the burgers are $ 6.99 after 4pm on Mondays. Score! We were seated and our server immediately showed up to offer drinks and appetizers. We would definitely request our server, Chris, again by name. He was high energy, which isn’t perfect for everyone, but he was fast and friendly and we enjoyed him. We checked in through Unilocal and got a free appetizer, which wasn’t limited to a certain price. The pretzel bites were great. When he took our order for the appetizer, he also asked if we wanted to order our daughter’s food then so it would be ready ASAP. That was so thoughtful, and ended up being a lifesaver! All of the food was fast and delicious. Burgers were awesome(hubby had the brunch burger and I had the cowboy), and the fries were hot and well seasoned. My daughter enjoyed her corn dog and fries more than she usually does at a restaurant. He brought drink refills before we needed them, and he even gave us a full soda in a to-go cup as we were paying the check, plus an extra milk for my toddler. Rarely do we get free refills for her(juice or milk), but it said they were free right on the kids menu. It’s a little thing, but really great considering sometimes a cup of milk is the only way to keep her calm and let us eat. :) While we were there, an older couple was celebrating their anniversary. They obviously knew Chris well and come here often. They were also chatting with another man who sounded like a regular. As they got ready to leave they asked for their bill. Chris told them that the restaurant picked up their dinner and the other man had paid for their food(he had already left). They were so appreciative and they hugged Chris and chatted with the manager on their way out. You rarely see this kind of thing anymore, and especially not at a large chain restaurant. As she verified our free appetizer on our phone, the manager was very friendly and said she appreciated our business and hoped we’d be back. Another nice touch. Overall, a great family-friendly experience. We will definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Our waiter was fantastic — he was speedy with refills and our order was correct. I love the cherry Pepsi!!! I did feel that what I ordered was cold(temp) and I’m someone who likes it hot. I also asked for a medium steak and it looks well done there is no pink in the steak but my biggest complaint is just the temperature of all the food. Even the appetizers were not warm, that’s a kitchen error because our server was quick. Service good but food not great. This is an easy fix — would return but not anytime soon.

Service: our server was Kyle and he was fantastic. He was very quick with our food, make jokes and aided in menu questions. Food: The hot buffalo sauce was on the wings was some of the best sauce I’ve ever tasted. The 3 cheese penne lacked a strong taste, but the chicken was delicious and well cooked. Cheese sticks were very solid and cooked well. Overall a very good family experience.

We’ve been going here quite a bit, for several months. Applebee’s here has sweeeet staff. If something is off — they’re quick to rectify and make it better. The food is basic American comfort food — they do try to upgrade/update their menu. It’s fun to drink there during Happy Hr! Great to eat at Applebee’s if you’re not dieting and just wanna enjoy some hot, tasty, ‘fast’ food plated!

The grilled salmon was really good and the accompanying grilled zucchini was a hit as well. Service was friendly and attentive.

This is mine & my fiancé’s favorite Applebee’s location. The food is great, hot & perfect portion sizes every time. Love the spinach artichoke dip & wonton tacos for an appetizer. The quesadilla burger & oriental chicken salad are a couple of my favorite entrees. I always ask for the spicy asian chili sauce to dip my fries in. Service has always been friendly, the last couple of times we went the severs were just a little slow to check on us & forgot minor things(lemon in my water & didn’t bring out my son’s chocolate milk with his meal, no biggie) but they seemed like they were new. I’m surprised this doesn’t have as many stars as I’d thought, I’ve been to many Applebee’s & this one is the best!

I’ve been going here for awhile. The service and the food has always been good. That is about all I can say that’s why it’s four stars. One thing though, since everybody has a pretzel appetizer now I think theirs is the best. It comes with a cheese dip and a honey mustard dip. I like mixing them.

This is one of the best applebees I have ever been to. Always excellent service, great wait staff, and they are always playing the right music. I would defiantly recommend this one, my husband and I drive out of the way to go to this particular Applebee’s.

Excellent meal and service! We ordered the 9 oz sirloin(it was cooked as ordered), onion rings(delish), oriental chicken salad(soooooo good) & chicken tortilla soup(rather spicy but tasty).

Got the chicken quesadillas grande. Absolutely amazing. The bacon complemented the cheese expertly. Furthermore, the service was phenomenal. My only qualm is that the top shelf long islands were weak. Oops!

This place is solid! I’ve been here a couple times, usually with a LARGE group(20+). Even then, the servers are pretty attentive and it doesn’t take too long to get our orders in or get our food. Applebee’s generally has good food. The menu has very good values(especially the 2 for $ 20/$ 25 deals). There is a very large menu, and I appreciate that they clearly call out some healthier options.

Came here for a quick bite to eat with my cousins before we headed downtown for the Michigan game. We tried the 2 for $ 20 deal. I had the three cheese chicken penne– it was okay. Not too much flavor to it. The spinach artichoke appetizer dip was good. Our waitress was nice and we didn’t wait too long for our food.

I hate the food here, but I love coming for the cheap drinks and trivia on Tuesday nights. I’m disappointed that in this day and age a restaurant as main stream as Applebee’s doesn’t have a single vegetarian entrée option. Sure you can take the meat out, but you still charge me for it.: /This is why people hate chains.

I have not once had a positive experience here. Here are 3 separate examples over a 3 year period: 1. Ordered to-go inside the restaurant. The bartender sent me to a side door so that I can place my order with a carside-to-go server. The server didn’t know the menu and started to charge me for dinner items when I specifically ordered from the lunch menu. In the middle of her taking my order, she took a phone call which lasted over 10 minutes while I just stood there and waited. I finally placed my order and went to the bar to wait. At this point, I could have really used a drink but the bartender, who had no customers, never once asked me if I wanted anything. 2. Carside to go: Ordered 2 things: steak done medium and chicken parm. They said 15 minutes. I got there 20 minutes later. I sat there for an additional 20 minutes sitting at the parking only to come home to find that BOTH items were wrong. They packed a steak pasta and grilled chicken. 3. Dined inside: My boyfriend ordered jim beam and ginger ale. It came in a small glass that looked like a shotglass and the color was near-clear like vodka and tonic. There was no liquor, and hardly any ginger ale. It was more like water and ice with golden food coloring. We ordered the appetizer sampler which had mozarella sticks and spinach artichoke dip. Mozarella sticks tasted like it had been fried 3 hours ago and the spinach artichoke dip tasted like it had been sitting on the stove for 3 hours as well. Needless to say, this restaurant isn’t good for carry out, carside to go, or for dining in. Avoid it.

Menu descriptions are poor. This not the place for vegans, vegetarians or individuals with dietary restrictions. Service was good, but the food choices are limited and the quality is sub par.

I must admit, I regret going to Applebee’s… I haven’t been there in ages and had an opportunity to have a dinner with a friend… walked in and got seated. The waitress came and asked what I wanted to drink, got water. So for dinner, we decided to do the 2 for $ 20 deal… for appetizer we ordered the buffalo wings(hot), I got the 7 oz. Sirloin steak with mixed vegetables and my friend got the chicken fingers. We gout our boneless buffalo wings, in addition to the hot sauce, they sprinkled some extra hot seasoning on top… who can go wrong, frying up frozen boneless chicken, saucing it up and serving it with two dipping sauces? I got my dish and I had asked for mixed vegetables with my steak… what did they give me? Two large broccoli and one 7 oz. undercooked steak… the meat was light brown and inside was pure red… I had asked for medium… the meat was hard to cut into… yeah, sent the meat back and they cooked it further… when it returned, the steak was brown and looked cooked and I was able to slice it… having gone through this experience, I’m unwilling to order steaks from establishments like Applebee’s(granted I won’t be going back for long time), Chili’s, etc… Overall, while their menu’s have gone though many changes, for me Applebee’s is on the bottom of the list compare to TGIF’s, Chili’s, etc.

My least favorite part about eating here was the indifferent«smoking section.» I don’t think there really was a place in this restaurant that you weren’t able to smell smoke. That might not be their fault, but it still made my meal less desirable. I was treated to lunch here by my new coworker Betsy. She got a salad and half-sandwich. I decided to go with the server’s recommendation and had a chicken dish. It was good and came out pretty quickly. It looked a bit«staged» and I felt like it could have been sitting out under a heat lamp for a while, but I digress…
