Part of my wandering adventures as I waited on a pizza from Anthony’s. I liked finding all the dulce de leche type items. Pudding, dessert topping and even wafer cookies– yum. Speaking of which, my husband liked the pineapple and hazelnut wafers. They stock a lot of fun sauces, grains and fruit products. As my Portuguese is nonexistent I relied heavily on pictures to determine what products were. It actually makes shopping amusing. My husband did better at identifying things as he at least reads Spanish, which I guess is similar enough. The chocolate and snack foods looked good. This is a dangerous thing if you are on a diet or watching your sugar but a great thing if you aren’t either. My husband definitely enjoyed shopping here more than I did, no guilt for him. I tried one bon bon with cashew nut and one with hazel nut filling and liked them both. I also picked up some coconut water that intrigued me. I have not eaten the caramel-esque delights I bought yet. I am never disappointed with the creamy sugary sensation in anything so I am sure to like them. Give this place a whirl, it’s a hoot.

Strangely, Brazamerica markets itself as Brazilian and Latin goods and travel services. I find that to be a bizarre combination. I can’t speak to the travel services, but the selection of ethnic food goods was interesting. It’s small and pricey compared to a few of the other Latin groceries in the area. It also carries a lot of the same stuff(Goya brand beans and other canned goods, for instance) that the other Latin groceries carry. But the atmosphere is clean and bright and very upscale, and they have a few Brazilian offerings I haven’t seen at the other local Latin groceries which tend to focus on the foods of Mexico and Central America.
