Hungry Howie’s Pizza

My star is being kind because this location certainly has some strikes against it. I have ordered pizza from here on a number of occasions, all with new disappointments. First off and most importantly the pizza here is a poor excuse for Hungry Howies, the pizza is flat, perhaps it has to do with the overall design of the suite, as it is very open, usually cold and perhaps not conducive to dough rising, or the college guys working there that behave as if making pizza is the last thing on their mind?! Either way pizza sucks every time. And during my last visit the man behind the counter clearly was rude to me. It was busy, three people getting pizza besides me, all with carryout orders placed prior. Thus, we had all come to the counter to find our pizza wasn’t ready. So slowly each person got their pizza as their names were called, still I waited, until I asked him, he stated he said my name but I didn’t respond, I was annoyed and responded back all the names he had called, none of which were mine. He was dismissive, rude, and didn’t care that he had just fibbed. And they all the man boys awaited my speedy exit so they could dweeb around, focus on their conversation and behaved as if working here was little more than fun time. GO, RUN TO THE WHITTAKER RD Location if you want great pizza and smiling friendly staff!!!

This place has become a local go-​to for us. The pizza is not gourmet, but it’s good in a pinch. This location has been solid. Delivery to our place, about 2 miles away, usually takes about a half hour and everything always arrives really hot. We have ordered pick-​up too, and everything has been ready right on time. Their deep dish version is pretty solid, although Jets might edge it out head-​to-​head. If you sign-​up for their emails or check the website there are usually good promotions to feed a lot of people.

I had ordered a carry out few nights ago. Received a confirmation email that the order was received and would be ready in 20 min. Once i got there, the doors were locked bc they had closed like a minute b4. Some low class trashy kid comes up claiming to be in charge. His name is Chris he said. He was so rude, did not apologize for making me go all the way over there for a pick up only to find that supposedly they «never received» my order. His attitude was so unprofessional that i was truly shocked by the level of competence or lack thereof. He said its the system error therefore he is not responsible for anything. Not even an apology! Im still shocked. Well what goes around comes around. I was so offended and disrespected by this kid’s attitude that i will make it my personal mission to make sure he is fired! He picked a wrong person to mess with.

Awesome place to eat. Food is extremely good and the delivery was really fast. And the prices are not even compareable to any other pizza chain. I highly recommend trying their pizza and the crust is the best part.

Had purchased many times from here in the past no problems. Last night I order a medium pepperoni pizza only to wake up a couple hours later with explosive vomiting and diarrhea. Will never eat hungry howies again.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I will never order from this place again. We placed our order online at 4pm in advance to have it delivered around 6:15pm. You think with over two hours notice they would be able to get to us relatively on time? Nope. We call the store at 6:40, after seeing a HH delivery driver pass our apartment. First, they hung up on us. We call back and are placed on hold for 7 minutes, for a woman to come back and say that our order will not get to us for another hour. We ask for a cancellation and a refund and were put on hold, again. 7 more minutes pass and a woman picks up and asks if we are someone else, to which we reply no, we have been on hold for so long and want to speak with a manager. Put on hold again. Cue being on hold for roughly 5 minutes. Manager did nothing to make things right. Just gave us our refund and sent us on our way.
I get it that the weather is bad and I get that it is Super Bowl Sunday, but if you know you’re that backed up that you can’t even deliver an order placed hours prior, call the customer and give an update.
Never again.

It’s the worst ever pizza i had. OMG, it’s too salty and feel like I am eating two days ago backed pizza. Even the bread sticks are bad. I never gonna visit any hungry howie’s in my life. I feel like I want to go back and throw that pizza on the store.

Would like to review the pizza, but the last three times I have called well within the time they are open, I’ve been on hold for 5 to 10 minutes listening to a recording. At least pick up and let me know you are going to get to me.

The delivery was quick and the online ordering was handy. But the pizza was not as good as your average delivery pizza. With numerous options around, I won’t choose Hungry Howie’s again.

For a fast pizza chain, this place is great. The deliveries have been quick, easy and friendly. The flavored crust is awesome, I love the rich, buttery one and the cajun one hits the spot when you want a little spice.
I really like how you can experiment with their pizza, you can get half and half crust flavors and toppings.
I recommend giving Howie’s a try!

I grew up eating Howie’s Pizza so I was happy to see one move into my neighborhood. They recently added a deep dish pizza to the menu which I was excited to try out. I was not disappointed. The crust was a perfection of crispy greesyness. Not as good as a Jet’s deep dish but I will no longer driving 10min to pick up a pizza.
They have online ordering up and running so you don’t have to worry about your order getting confused when you what your pizza cheeseless or split your topping on the pizza half & half for picky eaters.
