Dr. Kochhar is the worst pediatrician I have ever had to deal with. She showed up to our appointment almost 2 hours late! 2HOURS! And she didn’t even seem to realize it. She sat down and tried to get to know my daughter. She began asking the routine questions, which made me realize that she had not read any of my daughters medical history. She told me «I do not have time to read this. You need to summarize it for me». I don’t have a medical degree, nor can I remember the specific details of every procedure or doctors visit we have ever had. She then spent the next 10 minutes telling me that I am feeding my daughter the wrong kind of food, wrong water, etc. nothing was ever positive. She made me feel like the worlds worst parent! After the interrogation, she started a physical exam that only consisted of looking in her ears and at her eyes. She informed me that my daughter had an ear infection(which I had asked her to check for) and prescribed a medication. I told her that my daughter was allergic to the medication and she told me that she wasn’t. She wasn’t allergic to it because she had not been formally tested by an allergist so I couldn’t possibly know what she was allergic to! I described the reaction she would have and Dr. Kochhar continued to insist she wasn’t allergic to the medication. By this point, I was beyond pissed off and decided that I would consult with the pharmacists. I spent a whole weekend with a fussy baby because of Dr Kochhars incompetence and had to schedule another appointment with a different doctor to get the proper medication. If this doctor is the only person available for sick child visits, you would be better off in the emergency room. I can’t honestly believe that she is allowed to continue practicing medicine.
