Library Lane Parking Structure

My favorite place to park in downtown AA. I like the setup of how you pay before getting in your car, saves time.

Pretty nice parking garage. I didn’t like that you can’t pay at the gate from the car, or at least that’s what the sign said. What if you are already at the gate and there are cars behind you? Maybe it is just frowned upon, idk. There was an attendant there in an office so I paid there. Parking garage is brand new and has charging stations for electric cars. Good location near Main and State

I admit, I don’t get out much. I had never even driven by the new parking facility near the downtown Ann Arbor Library.
One night, we needed to park our Ford Excursion (it’s big!) and street parking was certainly not an option. I wanted to herd my hubby over to the Fourth Ave. structure, but we found this instead. Much easier to maneuver our big beast mobile into one of these parking spaces. (We parked in the above-​ground section.)
Only problem was what to do when it was time to leave. I told hubby, I didn’t see an attendant. I’m sure there must be a self-​serve paying station. There was.
There were two people in line before hubby. One guy tried to use two different credit cards, to no avail. Had to use cash. Next guy was charged the all-​day rate, even though he had only been there 15 minutes longer than we had been. There is an attendant at the underground area, so I guess he got help there.
Our credit card did not work. Good thing we had enough cash. We used the ticket to tell the gate to open for us.
Overall, an OK experience. The learning curve wasn’t too steep.

Library lane parking structure is great!
It is underground.
It was made with a green focus in mind and will move the city in a forward direction!
They are debating whether to create more parking on top or create a «central park» for people to enjoy. I love how the reinvestment recovery act fund was utilize in this city project ($ 50 million dollars)!
