This place is the wooooorst. I wish I could give them no stars. Student housing in Ann Arbor being what it is, you never expect much but anytime you need something the people act like you’re harassing them. The basement in my house(where my bedroom was) flooded repeatedly and every time they said it was fine it flooded again the next time it rained. We didn’t get notice when the maintenance staff was coming over and they were very rough with our personal items. Stay away from these people.

Really not a good company at all. Avoid renting from them if you can. They are rude and pretend that everything is your fault no matter the reason. There was mold growing in my room and the city inspector came out and said it was because the insulation was terrible. They proceeded to tell me that it was my fault despite hearing the city inspector say that it was because of the house. We have had leaks in pipes, water damage due to there being no vents in the bathrooms, and numerous other problems

This review is from the perspective of a property owner who Oppenheimer to manage a rental property. Oppenheimer properties, when executing leases on behalf of a propriety owner, does not keep the owner informed of changes to the standard lease. This includes promising to make changes to the appearance of a property, and allowing pets. I consulted with many property managers, lawyers and real estate professionals, and each assured me it is standard procedure for a property manager to seek owner approval before executing leases, especially when there are special items, such as color changes and pets, added to the lease. Oppenheimer not only approved and made these types of changes at my expense, but when I requested to be kept informed, I was met with a hostile and unprofessional attitude. When leasing my property, Oppenheimer promised, as a condition of the lease, to repaint the living room of the property a completely different color than the room’s original color. An additional amendment allowed a cat on the premises, contrary to the standard lease document, which forbids pets. These added terms were not disclosed to me before the lease was executed, and I did not learn of them until after the lease was signed and the room repainted, at my expense. I contacted Judy at Oppenheimer and simply asked that in the future, I be informed of lease changes prior to their execution. She responded in a very hostile tone that«No, she could not do that» and that she«didn’t need to put up with this» and she«didn’t need my $ 90 a month», along with other similar comments. The conversation ended abruptly when Judy indicated that she was very busy and could not speak further, I agreed to contact her the following week. I was shocked at the disrespectful way she had spoken to me. The following week, I contacted Judy and again, she demonstrated her complete unwillingness address my concerns. She stated that I was attempting to «micromanage» and«second-guess» her. I also told her I felt she had spoken to me unprofessionally in our prior conversation, to which she offered no apology. In summary, Oppenheimer did not communicate lease changes that cost me money, changed the appearance of my property and responded to my concerns with a hostile and unprofessional attitude.
