The bottom line is P.F. Chang’s serves decent Asian fare in a fine restaurant atmosphere. My favorites include the Singaporean Street noodles, chicken lo-mein, and lobster fried rice. I love to start with the chicken lettuce wraps. The upbeat Euro-rap musak they pipe in is irratating as hell but it sure beats the stereotypical Chinese opera music! I come here a lot and have found the servers to be enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful(all important). Thr managers are always available and if there is anything amiss, it gets fixed PRONTO. The Happy Hour from 3:00 — 6:00 pm offers some appetizing deals like $ 6 small plates, $ 6 cocktails/wines, and $ 4 beers. As long as you are not expecting a world-class state-dinner caliber meal, you should be fine. Just stick with the classics and stay away from the exotic stuff like sauteed cow testicles(just kidding)… I have found that most people who are down on this place have totally unrealistic expectations like they want a main dish for $ 5 or some nonsense like that. Enjoy!

Wait staff was polite and attentive, however service itself was really slow. We had a decently sized group but it felt like it took forever for the appetizers to come out along with an equally long time to get our lunches. I had the Singapore street noodles which were pretty good, the noodles were decent, some a little crispy. The dish itself felt like it was a little bit to greasy as well, however the vegetables tastes fresh and redeemed a lot of the faults of the meal. Our group ordered a few different appetizers, but the crispy green beans stood out the most, they were superb and I wish I didn’t have to share with the group!

My friend and I had a late lunch at PF Chang’s at Briarwood and the experience was excellent due to the service from Spencer the bartender. We both enjoyed the food and the drinks. Will repeat again soon, If you’ve never been there, always start with the lettuce wraps and my friend enjoyed her rum punch. Try it, you’ll like it.

Well where should I start? The service was way too fast, we were in and out in 20 minutes and $ 50 later. rip off. Both of our entrees were over salted and Lukewarm. The appetizer(veggie egg rolls were cold and the sauce was so watery and tasted like pure lemon juice… gross. The vegetables weren’t even cooked inside. And the 2 tiny egg rolls we got were sitting on iceburg salad mix for nearly $ 5! I will never be coming back. The only positive was the free refills.

I have been to other PF Chang’s locations — this one is an outlier. First, you’ll notice how empty the restaurant really is, which is surprising considering PFC is a good brand. Second, the wait staff need some training or must be fired — they were non-attentive and made me wait. I later realized they were busy singing in the kitchen. Customers are always right, if people are not turning up to eat here, there is an underling problem.

Food is okay, nothing great, I think you pay more for the atmosphere then the actual food,

Excellent and efficient service. Food is pretty good for the price; entrees could be a little cheaper. I recommend the Mongolian beef. Kitchen was very fast and accurate. Was extremely satisfied with knowledgeable and attentive server. You would be very lucky if you get Ricky as your server. It was our friend Erica’s birthday and he made sure to make it a memorable experience. We will definitely be back.

Ordered the Saigon rolls, it was 4 min to 3. 3 is happy hour. Did the bartender mention this? Oh hell no. I’d say this is not a good bartender. Save $ on food, increase your tip dumba$$. Could’ve gotten himself an extra $ 4.50. Oh well! The Saigon rolls are very, very good but 4 for $ 5.00 is a right price, not 4 for $ 9.50. Anyhow, hubby ordered Kung pao street tacos with kids chicken fried rice and I got spicy tuna and California rolls. California rolls yummmmmmm, better than spicy. I had one PC and then found a hair. Blech. They took back and replaced. I wanted it so much after I had a PC or I would’ve said NO! So hungry. Haven’t eaten since yesterday at 7:30pm.

I always love eating here. Today I had Jicama street tacos — crisp wild caught lobster wok-seared with cilantro and lime, tossed with shaved red onions and fresno peppers. I also had Sichuan-style Asparagus, wok-fired with sichuan preserves, onion, chili paste and garlic; and for dessert I had Banana Spring Rolls — six warm, crispy bites of banana served with coconut-pineapple ice cream and drizzled with caramel and vanilla sauces. I was really full after my meal, but I couldn’t pass up the dessert! My server was very friendly and always available. I really like that. I ordered carryout for my mother and husband. My car was smelling so good that I wanted to pull over and eat their meals as well(chicken lettuce wraps) but I didnt. Delicious meal! 5 stars for sure!

If you are looking to eat Chinese food in a clean and modern looking atmosphere, come to PF Chang’s — otherwise, stick with Panda Express. Your appetite and wallet will thank you later. PF Chang’s is a nice place to go if you want to enjoy some chicken and broccoli with wine or in a lounge environment. Most of their entrees are priced at $ 13 — $ 18 and the portions don’t match up. The taste and options are definitely fine. The Chang’s Spicy Chicken is like a marriage between General Tso’s and Orange Chicken. The wait staff is also very friendly. However, as a Chinese eater, I just cannot justify spending $ 25 a person on pepper steak and orange chicken. I think PF Chang’s succeeds at providing fine Chinese dining — however, Chinese food should not be this expensive.

Finally made it in to eat so I figured I’d add a few more deets based on that. Firstly, it was art fair week and downtown was congested as all get out. What’s a couple that want to get out of the house but don’t want to deal with the massive crowds to do? Go to the mall! Yes there are also lots of people there but there is ample parking, air conditioning, and it’s relatively close to the RAVE movie theatre(where we were headed next). Plus I had a jones for some mongolian beef so we decided to do it up. I had remembered they have the reservation option and managed to make one, on their website from my phone, for just 45 minutes into the future. That’s pretty solid. And relatively on the fly. And so, with reservation in hand even, we managed to get seated right away when arrived. Even though the joint was jumpin. Also solid. Since we were eating there we were able to take advantage of the«PF Changs For Two» option which was an appetizer, two soups, two entrees and dessert for $ 40. It was a ton of food for the price but you can only get it when you dine in. We ordered the spring rolls, egg drop soups, honey chicken and mongolian beef, and a couple of the dessert wontons. We were stuffed and happily rubbing our bellies by the end. Service is great and our waiter was helpful but unobtrusive. Seriously he was on stealth mode. I would just look down and a refill on my iced tea would have magically appeared. Great for take out or dine in. Take advantage of the reservation system or online ordering and you won’t have to wait at all, no matter what your preferred method of consumption is.

Came here for lunch once and happy hour. This is what I came up with: Service: 5⁄5 — We were greeted on the way in and out! Our server was great! She was very attentive, friendly and efficient. Food: 3⁄5 — Well, I knew it’s not authentic Chinese cuisine — but the food is ok for what it is. Overpriced — but you are paying for the experience and«brand». Décor/Ambience: 4⁄5 — It is clean. It has a «designer» look and it is modern with a slight touch of industrial look. Slightly pretentious, but I like it! Haha: P Overall Experience: It’s great. Great value when you come during happy hour. When I do come, I come for the drinks, experience and service. Please don’t expect this place to have authentic Chinese food.

I have been to PF Chang’s on other occasions. This was one of the newer PF Chang’s just recently finished. Everyone likes a new place right? I know some people who love it or hate it. I am more of the traditional Chinese/Asian food guy. Some people swear by this restaurant. However, PF Changs is good as a chain restaurant. Their food is representative of PF Chang’s. It is good food but if you are looking for authentic Chinese or the Chinese that most of us are use to than you will be surprised. I always say keep an open mind. The ambiance is nice. Dimly lit with a nice flair on the wall design. Nice place to probably take a date, friends or even family. I had the Spicy fish because I heard a lot about it and wanted to try something different. One thing I am is open and like to at least try something different. I am not stuck on a certain plate as some family and friends I know. I am always like, wow, you are getting that again? Creatures of habit. :) Back to the fish. The Spicy fish was different. It had a nice spice to it and a fishy flavor. I don;t say fishy as a negative necessarily but it was not a mild fish. Some like fishy tastes, I do not prefer a strong fishy tasting fish. Would I recommend trying it? Yes. Some people love it but I would not get it again. The lettuce wraps are AWESOME. You definitely have to try them. it is a tasty appetizer. Some of the best. I have had the orange chicken and spicy chicken and those were great. I would recommend checking out the restaurant. I am sure I will visit again one of these days.

I was so excited when I heard Ann Arbor was going to get a P.F. Chang’s. Yes, I know. It’s a chain(much to the people of Ann Arbor’s dismay), but during my visit it proved to be a really good chain. Other than two other sit down restaurants, the Briarwood Mall didn’t have much to offer for food options. I came at about 5-ish on a Thursday. The place was already beginning to get packed, but I was able to find a seat at the bar… They have various«happy hour offerings» and I ordered a side of their crab ragoon and a cocktail. I can’t recall the name of the cocktail, but it was delicious. It had bourbon, orange juice and honey… The crab was equally delicious. Hot and very filling and I enjoyed the sauce it was served with. For my main course, I ordered the kung pao chicken. There was plenty of fresh, lightly fried chicken served in a delicious slightly sweet and spicy sauce. I really liked the bean sprouts that were served with the chicken. My only complaint was I had been served with a tad bit more sauce, it left the rice a little dry. I will give the bartender credit, when I asked what to order he recommended that dish, but did forewarn the sauce was on the thicker side. But over all, not bad! I enjoyed my meal and had plenty for leftovers! The restaurant offers plenty of options(meat, seafood, vegetarian, etc). And has a lot of appetizers, entrees, soups, and desserts! Plus a full bar, to boot! The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. It’s worth a visit!

Visited on Easter Sunday — someplace different. With a group of 7 persons, it was possible to taste a little bit of many items and all were wonderful. We had reservations for our group and were seated immediately. Beverage orders taken and a delightful dinner experience followed. Appetizers: I was able to try the pork dumplings, slightly pan fried — nice flavor and presentation. Also, the crispy green beans with the dipping sauce. They were very nice and even Mr. Meatasaurus liked them. I thought they were better with the sweet and sour sauce from a different appetizer. My main entrée was Lobster Fried Rice with mushrooms and edamame which was very good. The lobster was tempura battered and very light and tasty, with a nice seasoning in the rice. It’s a little spicy, but nothing that this Gringa couldn’t handle. Mr. Meatasauras chose the Mongolian Beef, which was wonderful over brown rice. Service was friendly, quick and no hint of «It’s a holiday(Easter) and I am stuck at work» — which is very much appreciated. P.F. Chang’s is worth a visit.

The new PF Changs at Briarwood has brought a bit of poshy nightlife to the dangerously drab Briarwood Mall. We decided to brave the restaurant for an early dinner on a Saturday. After a little bit of a wait, we were in. I know this place is new and they are always booked, but they do take walk-ins if you are willing to wait. Call ahead if you need to be a walk-in and they might put you on the list. My husband is not a fan of PF Chang’s from our visit in Chicago, but he was humoring me. I started with a Moscow Mule. It was perfect — just the right amount of spicy and sweet. I had to have two. Appetizers — Lettuce wraps. You can’t go wrong with lettuce wraps. They are even amazing leftover. For entrees — Chicken fried rice, stir-fried spicy eggplant, Oolong Sea Bass and Honey Chicken. Everything was outstanding. I was most impressed with the flavor of the Sea Bass on warmed spinach. Perfectly cooked, large portion with a crispy texture that didn’t detract from the fish’s delicate buttery flavor, and worth every penny of the $ 24.95 price point for the dish. For that quality, it cannot be any less. The eggplant was a nice compliment to the dish. What made this visit exceptional was the service. The restaurant was packed and I could tell Rita had tables all over, not just in one section, but we never wanted for anything, even a drink refill. Two well-dressed managers were at the ready and watching the floor like hawks — available to their staff at all times. The bar was packed with patrons and waitstaff. All was well orchestrated, down to the bussers — who too were friendly and attentive. I will drag my husband back here, or try to find some girlfriends that want to have an evening of cocktails and appetizers at the bar.

Although I generally try to avoid chains, I’ve always liked Chang’s food as well as their clean, uncluttered and understated ambience. My wife and I decided to give the newly opened Briarwood location a try on a wintery Saturday afternoon. Even at what is generally a relatively slow period at 2:30 pm mid afternoon, P. F.‘s had a 30 minute wait for a table. We opted to sit at the busy bar and were able to grab the last two adjoining open seats without a wait. This is where the biggest disappointment of our visit came with an unbelievable 15 – 20 minute delay in my wife getting the cup of hot tea she ordered. Service at the bar throughout our meal was spotty at best with our server being clearly frazzled never trying to hide her attitude. Our food on the other hand was awesome! Starting with Chang’s chicken lettuce wrap appetizer, which was fabulous, we continued with the won ton soup and their signature dish of Spicy Chicken with brown rice… fantastic! My 3-star rating is simple… food was a 5… ambience was a 4… unfortunately service was a 1. Never once did I see a manager walk through the bar. I’d strongly recommend that the restaurant’s managers get out on the restaurant floor, get engaged and observe the quality of their service.

PF Chang’s is PF Chang’s, this location is not different from the others if you’re concerned at all about consistency. The dishes I’d recommend are the Mongolian Beef, Chang’s Spicy Chicken(which isn’t that spicy), Sweet & Sour Chicken and Shrimp Lo Mein. If you’re looking for appetizers, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps are OK, but the Vegetable Spring Rolls are far more complex on the palate. After all, it’s pretty obvious Chicken Lettuce Wraps are just chicken scraps from other entrees that they finely dice up. Some odd textures when chewing confirm that :) This place just opened and I’m giving it a break for it’s growing pains. You could sense the kitchen was overwhelmed and while at the bar we noticed the delay in table turnover time, in some cases 10 minutes before a cleared and cleaned table was sat. My waiter was the most awkward person I’ve ever met! He would walk up to us, and just kind of silently stare at the table. He tried clearing an appetizer we were still working on, and I said«I think we’re still picking off this» to which he responded by throwing his hands up like I had a gun on him and saying«whoa whoa ok!» Hopefully as he joins the sea of jaded waitstaff across America he will get the hang of it. It’s far from authentic asian cuisine, but it never claims to be. It’s got a great americanized asian flavor that makes it a safe place to take a diverse group. Expect about $ 25 – 30 per person, with most entrees in the $ 15 range. A bit overpriced — after all, authentic asian food is closer to $ 10 – 12 with better flavor — but you’re probably not coming here for the value or taste alone.
