I went to Dr. Kong originally for fertility treatments. She came highly recommended from some of the ladies in my neighborhood. My first visit she had me stick out my tongue. She asked if I get migraine headaches to which I replied, yes. She said, «I can fix that». I spent years on topamax and other medications but was never able to get my migraines under control. After about a month I stopped getting them. I continued treatments until I moved. The migraines stay away for an additional 6 months. The migraines are back now so I’m tempted to make the 4 hour drive because this acupuncture treatment brought me so much relief.

Dr Kong has a sophisticated and deep knowledge of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She is not a westerner who went to china, studied a bit, and came home and open up shop. As the other reviewer wrote, she is the real deal. Highly recommend.

Shan Kong is the real deal. I’ve been to a few acupuncturists, but I really have found that Dr. Kong has been the most effective. She gets results — whether it’s helping with a specific allergic symptom, with pain relief, or with multiple maladies, she is straightforward in her assessment and treatment.
She doesn’t try to sell you on tons of supplements or additional products, unlike some acupuncturists or alternative practitioners. She is calm and professional… you needn’t be squeamish about needles or the process.
Acupuncture may not be within everyone’s comfort zone, but if I *were* to recommend acupuncture to someone close to me, I’d likely steer them in the direction of Dr. Kong.
