My Philly cheesesteak was good, but it had very little meat inside. After eating here, i picked up another cheesesteak at the gas station because i didn’t want to be starving the rest of the day at work and the gas station one had twice as much meat. Watup wit dat?!? Definitely not a Mr. Spots… sad. On the upside, the tables outside on the sidewalk were nice to sit at, with a sun umbrella.

Really excellent subs. They always taste great and the price is on point. The service is friendly, if not a little slow… but the their hours are so inconvenient! I would be giving them so much of my money if they were open a couple hours later.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday and were the only customers. As others have said, the place is a hole in the wall and the people who worked there weren’t very friendly and acted as if they wanted us to hurry up and order so they could get back to more important things. I had the Fab 1 and my husband had the Fab 3 and they were both very good and not very expensive. You can make a sandwich a combo with chips and a drink. They also have homemade baklava or pre-packaged baked goods for dessert. If you worked nearby, this would be a solid take out place that wouldn’t break the bank.

Garbage on bread. Stopped in and got a falafel, the worker grabbed it out from under the counter and served it to me. Junk non fresh ingredients in a dirty atmosphere. Worst meal i’ve had in a long time.

This is a nice little sub-shop which has a really nice variety of sandwiches. Their service is good and they are pretty fast at getting you through the whole ordering and getting your food quickly. I tried their ham, cheese & pastrami which I thought was really good. Their pastrami is really good. Their regular size is 8″ or something similar which I thought was more than enough but perhaps because of the bread they use, I ended up getting hungry in less than two hours after eating. You probably want to go with their larger subs.

I have eaten here a few times when I was in A2 for work. Today I ordered delivery and they were very fast and the sandwich was huge, cheap and pretty damn good. It is basically a step up from Jimmy Johns in every way — you can order online too.

Best subs in AA. Every time I go I get the Wolverine. It’s aMAIZEing! Nice hole in the wall spot. Family owned so it’s made with love. I like supporting family owned joints and this was a good choice.

Love this place! Not nuts about the décor of the inside of the restaurant, kinda has that dingy college feel. The building is old but the inside is kinda grimy. If you can look past all that, you’ll love the subs! I usually but one of the large subs and it lasts me a few days. It’s even delicious the next day!

Wanted a quick bite for take out and not familiar with what was around. This place was recommended by a fellow business owner in the area. I tired the original 16″ and it was awesome! The food was fresh, great taste, and it filled me up. Seemed like it took a long time as there was only 1 person ahead of me, but still a great place and the food was outstanding, great value!

Not really comparable to east coast amoroso subs but still the best in AA. miles ahead of jimmy john’s.

Sottini’s Wolverine sub is an institution. The reason this sub shop stands out from the rest is because it’s not pretentious and they have their own style. I think a lot of the reviewers here don’t get it, because it’s not SUPPOSED to be Jimmy John’s. It’s inexpensive, the subs taste good and it’s locally owned.

On my first visit, I ordered a take-out Veggie Sub for lunch. Very reasonable prices($ 4.50 for an 8 inch sandwich) but the sub itself lacked flavor — I should have added in the non-standard toppings(olives and peppers), and asked for more seasoninings. Next time I go back, I will test a different sandwich with all of the additions, to make a fairer comparison. The shop itself is nothing special, but is well-situated for a grab-and-go meal.

I stopped in to Sottini’s for the first time today. I was hoping for a diamond in the rough. I found … the hole in the rock where the diamond used to be.:( The people working there were nice enough, and even after 1pm, there was a steady stream of customers. It’s an old place, which could be cool, except that it has a slightly strange odor to it and seemed a little dirty … not the scent of fresh subs, unfortunately. I ordered a turkey and cheese sub. The plusses: plenty of turkey and toppings, and they grill the sub, so the bread gets a little crusty/chewy and the cheese melts. The minuses: whatever is passing for«mayo» in there is not mayo. It’s not Hellman’s, anyway. It might actually by Miracle Whip, which for me is an anti-miracle. In any case, it was sweet. The biggest complaint: the quality of the meat is not great. I’m the kind of person who will only buy Boar’s Head or similar quality. I want to be able to see strands of turkey meat in my turkey. This meat, while sliced nicely thin, was quite spongy and thus very processed. I care about meat quality, and so do not want to buy out what I wouldn’t buy for myself at home. But if you are relaxed about such things, it’s probably fine. There were a lot of people there, so somebody likes the place. The prices are decent — between $ 4-$ 5 for an 8″ sub. Maybe a different kind of sub would be better?

Deli style sub shop. Priced better than any other sub shop in AA, very good. I always get take out, I think it is a little cluttered to eat there. A little slow, but if you have about 10 minutes at lunch hour, its worth the wait.

Yeah, the atmosphere is most definitely lacking and the service was ok. I came in with an internet coupon on my phone and was met with instant hostility when I mentioned that I wanted to use it. I was actually primed for this reaction because I realize that there is no way the restaurant is making any money off of these deals, but it didn’t make it any less uncomfortable. Also, if you’re putting one of these coupons out there you’re employees should know about it and service shouldn’t suffer because of it. If you don’t want to participate, then don’t. Eventually, the gals working there warmed up to me and my husband because we’re nice people and we have good senses of humor, but if you’re a bit sensitive when it comes to dealing with attitudes then you might have a problem. Anyway, my sub was actually really good. Nothing life-changing, but just as good as Subway if not a shade better. Prices are good as well. If I’m in the mood to order a take-out sub, I’ll happily order from Sotini’s rather than go to a chain. I don’t think I’d eat in again, though. Unfortunately, Kristin D.‘s description of the atmosphere is spot-on.

Uh… they claim to serve guacamole, but it’s really some sort of flavored mayonnaise colored a pale green. Perhaps if you order a meat sub your experience will be better than mine. I do not recommend anything with what they call guacamole.

Not even going to lie, some things about Sottini’s are gross. If you are at all uptight, you should NOT eat here, ever. Take for instance the fake plant in the window – it has NEVER been dusted. That being said, it’s incredibly cheap and filling. The meat is freshly sliced and you get a LOT of it. I’m pretty sure the sub buns are from the famous Amoroso’s. It’s just a really quirky, neighborhood place that goes gangbusters at lunch from the surrounding law offices and courts. I’m sure the dressing on their subs is just plain old oil and vinegar, but it somehow is magically transformed into the best sub dressing ever. Their wolverine sub is totally worth a trip in, and is definitely 5 stars. Everything else about it(except their low, low prices) is 1 star. hence the 3 star average.

I used to go there a lot but quit after listening to the owners trash-talk customers(especially women) when they left, or as young girls walked by; calling them derogatory names, etc. A woman would walk in and the guys would instantly switch to «customer mode», when she left, the talk would start up — I was a regular & they thought I was complicit. The food is OK but the misogyny ruined my appetite for Sottini’s.
