The Chalet is lovely and located in a nice neighborhood that is quiet and residential. It is also close to the U of M which was why we visited. Staff was friendly and room was clean and spacious. Shower in our room(Garden Room) needs work. Great for washing hair but unadjustable showerhead meant it was awkward to shower. Floor of shower was squishy. Worst problem though was adjusting temperature-my daughter was nearly scalded by a surge of very hot water. Breakfast was fine-berries and yogurt as well as cranberry walnut toast were highlight. Considering free parking, good local and breakfast included, a good value.

Had a great experience this past weekend, hosted by Lana and Mike. Their B&B is extremely quaint; comfortable and quiet. If you’re looking for no TV in the rooms, just a nice bed and bathroom this is the place. We had most of the placed occupied for a wedding so we were in and out frequently. They allow you access via your own door. Breakfast was alright. This was the one thing I wish was a little better. Food was sometimes tepid and just didn’t taste as good as I hoped. They have a dog and two cats so if you are allergic please let them know. The cats find themselves roaming the B&B but their dog stays in the main area of the home. They are about 2 miles from U of M campus and there is some great shopping and eating establishments. You can definitely drive but the walk down Greek Row was wonderful. I would recommend you consider staying here since it is centrally located, it is reasonable and the accommodations were definitely up to par.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place, and would highly recommend to anyone staying in town. The rooms were lovely, had AC, strong wi-fi and it is easy access to downtown/university. The breakfast was yummy and the tables were set-up beautifully. If I could give any ‘room for improvement’ it would be a) have some soft music playing in the background for breakfast(at 7:30 and 6 other people sitting with us we were all clearly tired and it was a bit awkward sitting in complete silence)… and b) maybe have a wine opener/bottle opener in the rooms for guests to use(we had to scramble around the kitchen to find one). Would highly recommend!
