WORSTRESTAURANTEVER!!! Horrendous service, terrible sauces, bad environment. Waiter stood 5 feet away from our table and stared at us the entire time. We had to remind the staff that we ordered food 4 separate times — for each menu item we had requested. The General Tao’s Chicken tasted far too sweet, and we asked for sides of fried rice rather than white, but they charged us $ 3 extra and gave us brown rice, insisting that it was their fried rice. I’m not too picky, but this was the absolute worst dining experience I’ve had in Ann Arbor.

Honestly, best bang for your buck for Chinese food in the Ann Arbor area! For starters, I love this location. It’s within walking distance of two parking structures as well as access to street parking. It’s also within walking distance of an array of different stores and stuff which love! Now for the food, I think it’s defiantly good you’d eat on a casual date night or night out with friends. I ordered salt and pepper calamari and my boyfriend ordered Shanghai noodles both around $ 12. I say this is a bang for your buck because the portions are huge lol we barely made a dent in the noodles! The quality of the food is really yummy :) I love it! It has quintessential Chinese food taste The costumer service is just wonderful. Our waiter kept us engaged and was really funny. I would recommend to anyone!

Best chinese food in Ann Arbor. The quality of this food is unlike any other place in town. I’ve tried about 5 other places, and this is by FAR the best. I ordered the general tsao’s chicken, vegetable chow mein and dumplings. All of these were incredibly flavorful and good quality. The sauces were delicious and exactly how they should be. The restaurant itself has great décor, and the staff is attentive and friendly. If you are sick of low quality places like Chans Garden and lucky kitchen, try TKWU! Great quality, flavorful, filling!

The food here is fantastic!!! The portions are large. Can’t say enough about it. The service is awesome. Pleasant, friendly, and very fast. They deliver too. My favorite place in Ann Arbor yet.

I’ve eaten here twice this week, lunch and dinner. Had the house chicken and house fried rice. Food and service were both top notch. Best part is they were open on Christmas and nothing suffered in spite of how busy they were. I recommend this place and I will be back.

Comfort food to the MAX! We ordered here for take out and the amount of food we good made them thing it was for 3 people(it was really for 2). We had the sesame chicken with fried rice, the orange chicken combo with fried rice, the vegetable lo mein, the sweet and sour soup, and egg drop soup. There were leftovers for days but it made the following few post-library nights happy ones. It was all very tasty, and though I can’t vouch for the service or the quality of the physical restaurant, the food definitely hits the spot!

I last dined hear about 10 years ago and it was pretty bad. I reluctnatly agreed to dine there this evening since there were very few places open on Christmas Eve. I hoped that the food had improved since my last experience. Sadly, it has not. I’ve eaten in quite a few Chinese and Korean restaurants in Ann Arbor, I don’t understand how this one is still in business, other than they have the luck to be in a good location. The food was bland, stale, and dry. Service was terrible. We never received the tea we ordered, and the soup I ordered came after the main dish because the waiter ‘forgot’. After we were served no one came to our table to ask how the food was. Hopefully, ten years from now I will not fall into the same trap — I’d rather go to Wendy’s.

You know a Chinese place is good when all the Chinese people are going to it. The food is incredibly flavorful and as «authentic» as you can get. I got the vegetable lo mein and for what I paid($ 8.95), I got an amazing deal! And I ate the entire entrée haha. The waitstaff was wonderful as well and even remembered my friend who came a month ago. He was laughing and joking with us the whole night! Definitely recommend this for people on a budget looking for delicious, traditional Chinese food. :)

Ok, For full price, traditional dishes, this place might not be the place to go. BUT, they have an awesome lunch special that is not on the menu. Here’s the secret: It’s weekday only, lunch only, takeout only, cash only, and one dish only. If you walk up to the cashier and just ask for the $ 5 lunch special(or 滷肉飯便當), you’ll get a take out box that is packed pretty tightly with rice, the minced pork sauce, an egg, and potatoes. This is the ultimate Chinese takeout food, and for only $ 5, it’s a great deal! I’ve eaten here for a regular dinner once, and it was pretty pricey, but relatively authentic and large-ish portions. But I only go for the lunch special now — you can’t beat it when you get a craving for Chinese!

WooHoo! I like them again. Especially the stir fried string beans! So good. It’s a bit pricey at about $ 14 for a plate but they are that good. The potstickers were good as usually with a nice dipping sauce. I still love the shrimp, eggplant, tofu hotpot — it’s enough to share, surely. These are owners that clearly care about the quality of food being served. Love it.

Having lived in Ann Arbor for the past 8 years, I truly appreciate the consistency of TK Wu to provide generous portions of flavorful Chinese inspired dishes. They have always shown the best customer service to their loyal customers and their recent renovation has really brightened up the atmosphere. For groups of 5 or more, I still stick to sharing orders of Jalapeño Chicken, TK Wu Special Tofu, Chinese Eggplant add Pork, Beef Steak, and Chick Steak. If you are really hungry, don’t hesitate to add a taro milk tea with bubbles to your meal. The restaurant tends to get busy during prime lunch and dinner hours but the staff continues to attend to diners’ needs. If you are in a rush, feel free to call ahead and pick up one of their lunch specials as well! I truly will miss TK Wu when I move out of Ann Arbor at the end of the year. It may not be authentic Chinese food, but it has always been a great place for large dinners and gatherings.

A favorite here is the TK Wu special tofu. Also good for the lunch specials and most any time you want a quick bite of Chinese food. Prepared in house and to order.

The restaurant itself is small but has a nice design with loose associations to chinese architecture. Seating arrangement is quite nice given its size. My significant and other I went here to eat and were placed in a nook near the window; we liked this since we felt like we had our own space and were able to hear one another quite well despite a busy evening. The menu offers both american and traditional chinese dishes; however, if you are looking for good authentic food, I would not recommend this place. We ordered the chinese eggplant and pan-fried noodles that comes with multiple meats. The portions are incredibly large and each dish could honestly feed 2 – 3 people, especially given the amount of rice they give you. Eggplant was delicious with a flavorful sauce(highly recommended), but the pan fried noodles was absurdly bland with raw noodles. It was also way too oily and I ended up with a stomach ache after. As always, though, fortune cookie came through in the end, strong work. Finally, service was above average. I was amazed at how quickly the food came out within our order. I’d say nearly 8 – 10 minutes after our order was placed. I was a bit irritated that our server never came by to refill waters or drinks. Overall, TK Wu offers a nice ambience for decent chinese food, especially for larger groups given the proportions. You’ll definitely have left overs for work the next day. I would recommend reading a few Unilocal reviews to see what people recommend, so you don’t end up with a not so great dish like we did.

Holy moly, grease city!!! How can fried rice be so greasy that it dribbles down your chin?!

I am pretty picky about my Chinese food– come to a «rough pace» and you leave with a bloated, heavy stomach for food that is too salty or sweet. Alas, TK Wu falls into this category. I ordered the Beef & flat noodles and mu-shu chicken. Both were unassuming and left me in a MSG coma. Customer service was what you would assume at a Chinese restaurant: curt, fast, and weird. Granted, I didn’t order any of the dishes they are known for: Jalepeno chicken, special tofu, and steaks. So should life ever lead my to TK, I may update this review

I went to TK Wu on a warm Tuesday evening. Downtown was PACKED, so there was very little parking. I had to use the structure, which charged me $ 1.20 for parking there for 15 minutes. :(Thumbs down(but I digress, since that’s moreso directed at City of Ann Arbor). I walked into TK Wu and was greeted immediately. Staff were friendly and polite. To be fair, I only ordered bubble tea and that’s all I was interested in. The restaurant was busy, and there were a few large(~7) groups of people. TK Wu has a minimum credit card charge, so I fished in the bottom of my purse for some cash. The cashier was very sweet, though, and offered to take my card if I did not have enough cash. My bubble tea was a bit too sweet — perhaps too much flavoring? It also had quite a bit of ice in it. All in all, it was a decent experience. I’ll update my review when I go back to eat dinner.

Best Chinese food in MI. My suggestions tk wu special tofu, salty fish fried rice, jalapeño chicken and seafood hot pot. Absolutely the best. Huge portion and a great little place in Ann Arbor. Parking is available near by. I just thought this is a must try when visiting Ann Arbor.

Solid three stars. Nothing special. Decent Chinese food. Ordered takeout during finals studying with a few other grad students. I got the combination takeout deal that is about $ 7.99. Comes with soup, spring roll and entrée with rice. I’m generally not a fan of wonton soup but it came with it so I won’t judge it. I don’t usually like spring rolls because of their lack of meat but theirs was very good — nice and crunchy as they should be. Beef broccoli was good and white rice was sticky. My friend got the General Tso’s chicken but did not enjoy it at all, so watch out for that. Also, something tasted a little off/random in their fortune cookie, couldn’t quite put my finger on it though. Overall, a good amount of food for eight dollars but not my favorite spot.

TK Wu has delicious Chinese food. A few stand bys we always order are the salt & pepper chicken, the general tsos chicken and the eggplant. Everything comes out when it is done, so while you may wait a minute for everything to arrive — it’s hot & ready. Their soups are good and the hot tea is free. The portions are above average. We always have leftovers to take home. Service is fine & to the point.
