These apartments are pretty decent. When it was time to renew our lease we looked around and it seemed like anything comparable in size or price would be closer to EMU. Pro’s are the size and move in specials that they offer. Also the grounds are well kept and there’s a stream that goes through the property and lots of trees which makes it feel private. Oh yeah, and they pay heat and water leaving you responsible for electric and whatever else you want. Con’s are that it is old and some of the hallways are musty, sometimes even moldy. Washers and dryers are in the basements where that’s amplified. Fixtures and appliances are not always in the best shape. These apartments have been well lived in. Management is ok, I neither like nor dislike them. We have had a few frustrations with their willingness to accommodate certain situations and the snow removal could be better. I had a nasty fall on a thick sheet of ice in the parking lot that had me cursing Traver Knoll and Michigan for that matter! Bottom line the place is fine. You’ll get a lot of space and probably a good price, it just will not be luxury living.
