I love this shop. They have their fair share of mugs and other tourist trinkets, but they have a great selection of really beautiful and unique artistry items. I purchased 3 «buckets» from the shop made by a North Carolina potter. They are so perfect for my house. I had them shipped to CA and they arrived packaged carefully and without damage. I know when I’m back in Annapolis visiting family I’ll surely be finding other pieces I love.

Bottom Line: An Annapolis classic specializing in local, handmade pottery. So I’m not necessarily the biggest fan of pottery for whatever reason(maybe I don’t do enough entertaining or already have too much stuff?), but I absolutely appreciate this store and the talent that goes into the pottery sold here. Shopping in this pottery store is really neat because not only is it an Annapolis staple, but the historic building adds a lot of charm to the experience. Here is what makes me a fan of Annapolis Pottery: — Most items are handmade in the good ol’ USA — Many items are made onsite at the store — Most pottery is practical in that its oven, microwave and dishwasher safe — There are neat items in various price points. — The staff is friendly — They have the cutest little ceramic animals and ornaments — It’s a great place to go for local gifts — Some items can even be customized The downside to The Annapolis Pottery, like the rest of downtown Annapolis, is that parking can be a pain. If you are lucky to get street parking, just know that it’s often a two hour max and you must feed the meter either coins or plastic. If you want to check out The Annapolis Pottery without worrying about parking then the Annapolis Mall store location might be a good approach.

THEYARESNOOTY! It seems they pick and choose who they greet and talk to. If you don’t look like a well dressed middle aged white woman who has money to spend… staff basically ignores you… as was my case when I walked in until I left. Not one person approached me, spoke to me, nor asked if I needed help… I was looking for a large handthrown tureen and never did find one. As I was leaving… the front staff was busy warmly greeting a white couple that had just walked in. Needless to say… I WILLNEVERBEBACK!

Beautiful pottery store in Annapolis. They have a very wide collection of pottery objects to choose from. Some of them are a bit pricey but they are definitely unique and with great taste.

Awesome pottery, awesome staff, awesome place. A great place to pop in to, browse around, and chat up the staff. They take custom work, but there is such a variety of pottery that you’ll be certain to find something that appeals. The prices are also excellent. It truly is as good as it gets!

It’s huge! that’s what she said. I was rushed through the store because it was going to storm and I still had to make it back to the car without an umbrella. But I was impressed by the size of the store and the selection of not just your normal pieces but also platters and tastefully done bowls and a million other pieces. This store is on the first circle and worth the walk up here. You’ll pass some cute little properties, bed and breakfast places and there are a bunch of antique stores a couple blocks to the right of Main St too.

I love stopping in here! I just wish I threw more parties so I have an excuse to buy serve ware! I just can’t get over the colors and the variety that they have there on display. Whatever it is that you want they probably have it. And if not, I’m sure someone will make it for you. I don’t think they have iit anymore, but they used to have a section where they sold pieces that had slight defects for discounted prices near the workshop. Every once in a long while I will see one, but not as often anymore. I can handle a little chip or small imperfections for a good deal! They also have a limited selection of party foods and dips and occasional samples that are also yummy!

Basically, my go-to spot for tasteful, mid-priced gifts locally made with local flavor. Hard to remember how many times I’ve purchased one of their crab shell dishes. An excellent business worthy of your support.

Gorgeous pottery issues from this small shop whose artists display impressive mastery of many styling, firing, and glazing techniques. The balanced pieces resist breaking, a quality bolstered by the uniform thickness of the rims, sides, and bottoms of the pieces. Designs range from country platters and traditional mugs to crackled, splattered, and modern bread and oil plates and elegant terrines done in appealing palates of blue, green, orange, and glowing scarlet glazes. Shopping here is always a pleasant experience, complete with polite and friendly staff beckoning from the counters, and something new is usually nestled on the shelves every few months.

We really like this place. Not only is it fun to see all the locally made pottery and crafts, but there are some great gift ideas here. Caution, it’s not a child friendly place, they break it, you buy it. But every time we go there is something else unique to see and shop for. It’s one of our normal shops to visit when shopping for bridal showers or wedding gifts or a gift for someone who has most everything else. Who doesn’t like and appreciate well made pottery?
