I visited Charm City Run today and had a great experience. My physical therapist suggested I find a pair of good running shoes to facilitate achilles tendon rehab. I was impressed by the(non-clunky) selection and by the knowledgeable staff. To add, it’s a locally owned small business and their prices matched my online searches. Win! Win! Love my new kicks! I’ll be back soon!

I really liked the help I got in this store. I was getting back into running and had not gotten any running shoes for a while. They helped me find the type of shoe I needed for my running style and had me try on a bunch of different ones until I found the ones that felt the best. I just went for a 3 mile run with my new shoes and they felt great. Great customer service and I will be back.

What a great running shop! I came in to replace my running shoes, which I have had for a while but which have always given me problems. I wanted to go to a place that would help me discover the best kind of shoe for me. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the guy behind the counter and asked if I needed help. I told him what I needed and he immediately got to work. He had me run back and forth to the door, talked with me about my goals and what I wanted from a running shoe. Then he brought me three pairs to try, and had me run back and forth, testing them all. I found a pair I really liked, and they were even wide enough for my wide feet. He offered to grab a few more pairs to try, but I was very happy with the New Balance he selected, so I chose those. In the course of our conversation, I mentioned that I am training for the Annapolis half marathon, and he told me that they do organized group runs for local races, including the Annapolis half. I live a little far away to make it every week, or else I probably would have inquired further. I felt comfortable and taken care of here. I felt this guy really knew his stuff and wanted me to leave with the best shoe for me. I will definitely be back in the future. My only regret was that I didn’t get his name so I could post it here!

Poor customer service. Came in for a pair of shoes and had a couple minutes interaction with the salesman. Brought me three pairs of shoes then disappeared. Only 1 other customer in the store. No hey do they fit, what do you think, etc. Picked the shoes and bought them(for $ 150). Came back a couple hours later to return the shoes. Was told store credit only or exchange. Asked if they could just cancel the transaction since they hadn’t closed out for the day. Nope. Got the usual manager, policy blah, blah, blah. Then the cashier said«I’m not going to do anything to get in trouble.» Really?! That’s the priority? I’m not asking you to slip me a $ 100 from the register, I just want to return the shoes. Thanks for making me feel like a thief. I like to help local businesses, so I guess I’ll go to Fleet Feet.

I’m so stoked to have a running store on this side of town! It’s conveniently located in the Annapolis Town Centre — the best shopping area in Annapolis. The service is great — very courteous and most of the reps are willing the spill the latest and greatest about all the new running tech. They don’t seem to have as much in stock as Fleet Feet and other better-known running stores, but if you already know what kind of running shoes you like and you call ahead of time, you’ll be happy. If you’re a running shoe noob, then you may want to go somewhere else, where they can offer more than fit-testing and the general«run around the block and tell me if you like ‘em» service. This is definitely not the place to have someone look at your running gait and have them record you on the treadmill to recommend the best shoe for you. I don’t remember even seeing a treadmill in the store, actually. Most of your go-to running gear and apparel are here: Brooks, Mizunos, etc. AND the last time I checked, they even had Newtons. Since I already know what I like, it works for me. It’s worth giving it a shot. They even have sidewalk sales when it’s warm out!

My wife is the runner so my review is based on my experience while at the store and her feedback. The employes are fantastic very knowledgable as far as the shoes and actually running. They are very good at getting the perfect running shoes for you. It does get busy and not enough employees, but it is worth the wait. There is a treadmill in the store to help you get a feel of the shoes. Worth the price and highly recommend you purchasing shoes at Charm City Run if you are a runner or jogger.

After a disastrous visit to another running shop(too busy to give us any attention), we stumbled upon Charm City Run. What a complete dream! Tom helped my daughter, a 14 year old«I know everything» kid, who is always in pain when she runs or plays sports. His demeanor, his professionalism, and his knowledge made the visit fly by! Although we have had visits to an orthopedic surgeon, podiatrist and a physical therapist, it was our visit with CCR that gave her improvement almost instantly! We will be back!

When you buy running shoes to run in, it is worth paying in store prices to get a professional fitting. The employees here were friendly and professional, and made me feel like they genuinely wanted to make sure I got the best possible shoe. They had me run inside and outside in them and took video of me running on the store treadmill so that we could look at my stride together. Very knowledgeable and nice people.

I always come here for the packet pick up events for the area races that I participate in. I like this store very much. The employees are always very nice, welcoming, and knowlegable. The store is very neat and organized and I never have trouble finding what I am looking for. It is also located to other nearby athletic goods stores in the Center. The only reason I took a star off is because this location does seems to have a skimpier stock than the other CCR locations. There is not as much to choose from clothing wise.

Extremely knowledgable staff that takes the time to make sure you get exactly what you need. Their top priority is making sure you have the exact right pair of shoes. Be sure to tell them everything that is going on – they have a ton of experience and can help you make the right decision.

The most amazing shoe shopping experience. Charm City Run came highly recommended by two doctors and my physical therapist. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by a sales lady who upon hearing my dilemma told me that Clint would help me. I explained my challenges and Clint had me remove my shoes and walk so that he could see how I walked. He accurately assessed my walking challenges and brought out a wide selection of shoes that would suit my needs. I walked away in a new pair of kicks feeling like I was walking on clouds. Thanks, Clint! Thank you, Charm City Run(Annapolis, MD)!

This small shop but seems to have the everything you need. The staff is friendly and provides you with good advice. If you are a jogger or avid walker, and need good inputs from knowledgeable people, then this place is much better than those large generic sports stores.

Very nice shoe store for athletic attire. They fit your shoes according to your specific feet and size. They also have a treadmill with a camera that records how you walk in each shoe. The staff spends a lot of time with each customer to ensure the shoes fit. It is the best shoes I have every owned! When we arrived the place looked slammed, but they got through everyone and they help mulitple people at the same time but in a classy manner. The shoes aren’t cheap or discounted, but I only have two feet and I will pay more to take care of them!

The store has always been busy but they helped me out and I love how they look at the way my feet hit the ground in order to pick out a few shoes for me to try on. I picked up a few running accessories while I was there like gloves that are compatible with using a smart phone and a running headband for those cooler days. They came in handy during the winter runs. The cashier forgot to give me a discount but I went in the next day and they applied it. Parking here isn’t the greatest unless you’re willing to park down by Gordon Biersch or luck out with a store front parking space. I usually like to go early in the morning when they open for the best parking and service in the store.

Was referred by my physical therapy office for running shoes. Purchased shoes and they felt relatively fine. In comparison to my previouse shoes they did not have enough cushioning in comparison to my older running shoes nor did they the correct width. I have sinced purchased another pair of running shoes that fit all the of my needs.
