Came in today with my mother, who was getting a MRI. Appointment time was 9:30, and there were maybe 3 people in the waiting room when we got there. We arrived at 9:15 and she was taken back at 10:06. Besides the almost 1 hour wait, for a 15 minute procedure. It was okay.

Chesapeake Medical Imaging is a solid, dependable place if you need any medical imaging done. They are friendly, quick and the waiting rooms and exam rooms are modern and up to date. I’ve been here for various reasons at least four times over the past few years. Each time I haven’t waited more than 30 minutes — but usually less than 15. The waiting room will be full but it doesn’t mean you have to wait for everyone in front of you since there are multiple doctors and examination rooms. There is no appointment necessary(or at least I have never made one) for an office visit. Each time I simply present the slip from my doctor and they take care of the rest. The office is on Defense Highway not far from the Mall and Home Depot. Being on the ground floor, there are no steps to enter the building, which is nice if you have a gimpy leg or bad back!

This is the best place to go to for all x-ray and imaging services. They are very professional and it couldn’t be easier to get an appointment at a time that is convenient. Both my husband and I have been there several times. Contrastingly, Anne Arundel Diagnostic(AADX) is terrible from customer service, appointment requests and services. After much stress trying to deal with AADX just to get an appointment and be treated professionally, we asked our GP to change our referral to Chesapeake Medical Imaging in Annapolis. We are senior citizens and can’t deal with unnecessary stress. If you want to be treated excellently, professionally and receive A+ imaging services, then choose Chesapeake Medical Imaging on Defense Hwy. in Annapolis. We won’t go anywhere else.

I arrived for my 12:30pm appointment at 12:10pm. Finally had to ask at 12:55 what was taking so long. Apparently a difficult day for the staff due to difficult patients. The staff though responded to my own needs in a very professional manner. I was apologized to by a technician and the office manager even found me to offer her apologies for the delay. Great customer service in my opinion. Medical offices are always a challenge to get in and out on time. This one is focused on customer service and even though my 15 minute ankle MRI took almost two hours I felt taken care of and walked away feeling like I was given a great experience.

I’ve used this facillity many times, for both myself and my son. Overall, I’ve had positive experiences, although there is some room for improvement. On the plus side, they do have a decent location, pretty easy to get to with plenty of free parking. Most of the staff are friendly, although some of them can be pretty abrupt(especially the front desk staff). But I try to keep in mind that they’re probably bombarded with complaining sick people all day, so I don’t judge them TOO harshly unless they’re overtly rude, which I’ve never seen. They can usually get you in pretty quickly, often the same day, depending on what you’re having done. Although they do have shorter wait times than the hospital radiology department, you could still be waiting a long time. The last time I was in, there was a woman who had a 5:00 appointment for an ultrasound(one where she had to drink 32oz of liquid), and by 5:40, she still hadn’t been taken back and was told she couldn’t go to the bathroom… talk about uncomfortable! The facility is a little outdated, and could really use some new carpet and some touch-ups on the paint, but it was clean. But my biggest pet peave is that you have to fill out a form with ALL of your information EVERY time you go in. Really, shouldn’t they have this information on file somewhere? Shouldn’t you just be able to check a box that says«no new information»?
