I want to start this review by stating up front that I’m writing this at almost 11pm on a Thursday night, the second late night in a row that I’ve had to deal with this company, and the technician is STILL in my home as I write. I rent a townhome, and the owner of the home uses Zindorf for heating & cooling, so I really have no choice, otherwise, I’d have gone elsewhere. I came home yesterday to find that my furnace was not working. After checking everything I could do on my own, I called Zindorf(around 5:30pm on a Weds). I was told a technician would call me shortly. An hour later with no call, I called back and was told«We have your call, and someone has been dispatched.» Thinking this meant someone was on their way, I asked if they had an estimated time of arrival, but was told they had no idea. I told the person on the phone that I was going to a neighbor’s house, who had heat, but to have the technician call me when he arrived and I’d come home. At around 7:30, the tech called me, but said he had FIFTEEN other people ahead of me, that he was the ONLY technician working, and it may be morning before anyone could get to me. About an hour later, he called to say he’d requested another person come out to work, and someone else would be calling me, but another hour later(9:30 by now) he called back and said he was on his own again. However, he’d had a couple of people cancel and would be at my house between 11 – 11:30pm. He didn’t arrive until midnight, spent half an hour looking at the furnace, only to tell me he didn’t have the parts needed and would have to come back the next day. He then told me that he’s the only tech who can work on a gas furnace, the rest only know oil, so I’d have to wait until his shift started at 4pm, but that he’d put me first on his list. So I went to bed with no heat on the coldest night of the winter so far. Today I left work early so I could be here when his shift started. He called a little after 4 and said he had another location he had to go to, but would be at my home in 2 – 3 hours. Over 5 hours later, he finally showed up. He spent another half hour then said he had to go back to his van in edgewater because the part didn’t work and he had another part there. Around 10:30pm, he returned to my house, spent another 20 minutes or so then announced he had to go out to his truck to get on the internet. So apparently the only tech who can work on gas furnaces still needed guidance on how to fix a furnace. It’s now after 11pm, and he’s just now finished. And I still have to go to work tomorrow, the second day in a row that I have to go to work with very little sleep due to this company. With all that said, let me say this: The technician is very friendly but obviously overworked. I just think that the company has done a lousy job of providing necessary support. How on earth can they have only one person who knows how to work on a gas furnace? And why would they have one technician to cover so many emergency after hours calls? And why are the technicians’ trucks not adequately stocked? I can guarantee that I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Well, maybe to someone I really don’t like…

Same issue as the other reviewer. They make appointments, never show, never call. You are on hold for 5 minutes almost every time you call to try to sort out their scheduling screw up. Just absolutely awful customer service. Think: Cable Company but worse!
