We took the trolley because we parked at one of the parking garages further out from Main Street. It was great because not only was it free, but it came quickly. The first time we barely had to wait as it was pulling up right as we were walking to the stop. The stops are all clearly marked with signs, so you will know where to wait to catch the trolley. The trolley comes every 10 minutes, which is great, especially considering we went to Annapolis when it was freezing out!

Cute blue busses outfitted to look like trolleys whisk tourist up and down Main Street all day. Now Main Street is something like a half mile long, so you may be thinking the distance is so sort, who would need to take a bus? That’s what I thought. But as you are making your way down Main street, enjoying all the shops and such, you will hear the trolley bus ringing it’s little trolley bell, and after an hour or two of this, you too will realize… you need to ride that trolley. The trolley is free and you can wait for it at one of the marked stops on Main Street, or flag it down. If you park at the lot by the visitor’s center and spend the day exploring, you’ll end of at the bottom of Main Street; and even though it’s only a half mile walk to the lot, you’ll see the Trolley and be glad to sit for a minute or two. Take the trolley, you won’t be sorry!
