Whether I need a good caldero for cooking arroz or a colador for my café con leche, this place has everything you need. They also sell fresh plátanos, bulk bags of arroz, a large selection of frijoles, fresh meats, as well as all of the spices and other necessities(Sazón y Adobo) for cooking my favorite Spanish(mostly Puerto Rican) meals. I love this market and visit it frequently!

WOW! How have I not known about this place? No, it’s not in the best part of town, and it’s on the back side of a strip mall, so if you don’t know it’s there you might miss it. And honestly, we were looking for«Anita’s Spanish Grocery», which I’m still not sure if it’s this place or not, just under a different name(the address is listed as 1900 Fairfax, and there’s a sign in the parking lot for it, but I never saw a store with this name on it). But either way, I’m glad we found this place. I had just finished a less than satisfactory dinner with a date(check out my review for Mexican Café), and they had a hot sauce that he just loved that the server told him he could find at this place, so we went off in search of it. And we found it, and so much more! The butcher shop in the back has all kinds of fresh meats and seafood, including fresh chorizo(yum!). Lots of fresh produce, tortillas, cheeses, sauces… you name it, it’s here. And the prices are very reasonable, lower than what you’d find in most large supermarkets. We were fortunate enough to run into a gentleman who was doing some shopping who said he’s a chef at a local restaurant, and he made some great suggestions(thanks Luis!) I will definitely be going back to this place any time I’m in the mood to make some good Mexican food.

Doesn’t look like much from outside but when you walk in, you’re like dang– this is a big and nice Latino market. Lots of specialty imported Hispanic foods, butcher, tropical fruits, and a Western Union for you to send money back home to the old country.
