So, after reading the previous reviews I was skeptical about this place, but I was pleasantly surprised! I actually had the same doctor I had at the Columbia location, Dr. Jain. She is amazing, super friendly and very professional! After the exam, Nate helped me pick out some glasses and he was wonderful as well. Everyone in the office was in a good mood and having fun, unlike other eye places I’ve been to recently! Anyway, I would certainly recommend seeing Dr. Jain and Nate at this location!

I am warning you, do not come here! Please avoid at all costs. I recently got a new prescription and have not found a frame that I like yet. I decided, since I was at the mall, to stop by here when I walked passed. So, I go in and there is one lady behind the front desk. She looks up, then looks right back down. No greeting, nothing. Well that, was rude. Anyways, as she sees me looking around she asks if I even wear glasses, I said that yes I do and that I was looking around for new frames. She then asks me if I have my prescription with me, and I reply that not at the moment. As soon as she heard, she rolled her eyes and walked away. Seriously? That was the most rudest thing I have ever experienced. What’s wrong with looking around, maybe I might find a pair of glasses that I like and buy them later on. This is far the worst place for customer service I have ever been to. And by reading the previous comments, they are not the best place, find a better place. I would give no stars if possible.

Unfortunately, there’s not too many good things I can say about this branch. Honestly, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any vision vendor. This whole ordeal happened in late September through early October and it makes me so angry that I went out of my way in December to write this review. I was in need of a pair of prescription sunglasses due to the winter coming along and the sun setting, glaring right into my retinas during my drive home from work. Needless to say, I saw that Sterling Optical accepted my insurance so I went to visit. I found a pair of glasses I liked online, that’s all that matters, right? Well, I decided to pay the store a visit and the first impression didn’t blow me away. I walked in and there were two employees standing around. No greeting, nothing. Not a big deal, I came for the glasses, duh, and I saw them sitting on the display shelf. Asked them about it and they gave me some great answers. Their knowledge of the item is the ONLY reason I am giving them two stars. I ordered the glasses in my prescription and I was on may way. They told me to come back in a week and it would be ready. I came back a week later and they said it was still being made. Okay, no big deal, I’ll come back next week. I came back the following week, the lenses haven’t been shipped yet. This is where things started to get frustrating. They said they would check on it for me. I check back ANOTHER week later and it has finally been shipped, but not received. They told me they would notify me when the glasses were completed. One final week later, I call them AGAIN and they tell me the glasses have been done for three days. THREEDAYS. I never received a call, no voicemail, no email, NOTHING. I go to the mall to pick up my glasses. I kindly tell the clerk to retrieve my glasses, which she does, but at the slowest possible speed known to man. Here’s the part that gets me the most. She starts blowing on the glasses with her breath and starts to clean the lenses, that’s nasty. And then she proceeds to wipe down the lenses for another 15 — 20 minutes. This entire ordeal may seem extremely bizarre, but I can guarantee you that this happened to me. Overall, this branch has absolutely no sense of urgency or customer support. I will certainly not be coming back. Not a great experience whatsoever.

All you need to know is on their web site. «under new management». Go ahead and stay away from this«Mall» store and go to a real eyeglass place. I dropped in while shopping and ordered 2 pair of eyeglasses since my old ones were 5+ years old. Now, the eyedoctor who was in was excellent. Did a good eye exam and my glasses were picked out and ordered fast. Wasn’t cheap though, normal prices. After a week or 2 they called said my glasses were in. So I drove up. But only 1 pair was in. Oh well, i got those and waited. Another week or 2 went by, my 2nd pair came in. When i picked them up i refused them because their lab put the prescriptions in the wrong lenses. So they were sent back. After another month had not heard anything so called again, seems they were having problems with that brand«lab» and i had to come in to pick out another pair. Long story short, buying 2 pairs of glasses took me 3 months to get them. Go to another place, this one has horrible customer service, and horrible labs making their glasses.

They aren’t too worried about nice interior décor here. But that means they don’t need to up their prices and charge you more money. They have fair prices and if you find any Kate Spade frame(or any other brand that they carry) they can probably order it for you for a lot less than some other optometry offices out there. Or if you coordinate with them and find it elsewhere you can bring it to them for just the lenses. They have nice service, are helpful, not pushy and must not work on commission. I am truly grateful. I just wish the KS trunk sale(the last of the series of five) would come a lot sooner than this October…
