In a sea of Royal Farms this Wawa is an oasis. From Gravel Hill Delaware to Washington DC I pass directly by 4 Royal Farms. This is the only Wawa along my route and worth skipping everything else for. Wawa has typically superior coffee and sandwiches which is a must have for the long commuter. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a superior Wawa. This location could use a little work. The floors are often wet and dirty from where they have to bring in deliveries. The bathrooms are aged and the urinal often just runs. Considering this is a popular location easily accessible to the highway there is often a wait for the small bathrooms during busier times. They also almost never have all four registers working so there can be a wait to purchase items as well. But the food is good, the coffee tastes fresh, and I love their Wawa brand teas.

I will give 5 stars here because of Employee Sean working on Coffee and breakfast sandwiches and cleanliness. There were no sandwiches ready-made and the Christmas Spice flavor coffee was out. Well immediately Sean asked what I was looking for and when I told him, instantly replaced the empty spot with a fresh pot. So I asked him about the sandwiches, and he took my specific order and made them perfectly fresh and hot. So worth the 3 minute wait. He even suggested I could go pay for them while they cooked to save myself a little bit of time! He was friendly, polite, and very efficient. Next to him was another coworker whose name I did not catch but was wiping and cleaning with the sanitary wipes in the general area which is appreciated. Perfect start to my Saturday! Thanks Sean and staff!

Dear Carl at the Deli, I thought that a Wawa on the way to the beach sounds like a brilliant idea. However, a Wawa is only as good as its employees. And this Wawa is just full of incompetence. Other customers take heed — DONOTATTEMPT A SPECIALORDER. You WILL end up making your own sandwich in the car because the employee can’t be bothered to a) read the words«special order» and b) ask you what that adjustment is. Instead, when you comment that you were waiting to be called, he will hand you the missing ingredients so you can add them yourself. IF I WANTEDTOMAKEMYOWNSANDWICH I WOULDN’T BEPAYINGYOUTODOIT. Future customers… Be aware of the status of your sandwich. Hopefully you will not leave Wawa with this level of disappointment. Carl, please go find another job.

I grew up in NJ so it goes without saying that I love Wawa. But not this Wawa. They are incompetent. There were no hot dogs out so I asked an employee if they were putting more out soon. She said she wasn’t sure but that she would go make me two right then, asked what size I waned, and said that it would be about 5 minutes. More than 15 minutes later, another employee asked me what I was standing there waiting for. I told her the two hot dogs that they were making for me. They all looked at one another and asked each other if anyone was making hot dogs. Apparently no one was. They said they would make them for me then but that it would be at least another five minutes. Add that to the insanely long lines at the register snaking throughout the store, and it would have meant wasting more than 35 minutes waiting for hot dogs instead of just 15+ minutes, on a gorgeous sunny 80 degree day. So I left. But I was really tempted to order a dozen sandwiches on their computer menu before walking out the door so they could waste their time making them, just like they made me waste my time waiting for two hot dogs.

Great place to get gas as a coffee but you better use cash unless you want to get skimmed. Lots of people victims of credit card fraud from this location.

As someone who drives to the shore every chance I get, I find myself stopping here a lot since it’s easy on-easy off Route 50 and is just a couple minutes before the Bay Bridge. This location never seems very clean, which is probably partially due to the volume of travelers that come thru here. They also don’t stock the same variety of teas and lemonades that I’ve found at other Wawas. I wouldn’t stop here for a meal unless it was the only option, but it’s fine for picking up drinks and snacks on the way to the shore.

It’s a standard Wawa, in a great location — right before the Bay Bridge on the Western Shore side. Easy to get to while going either way. Cheap gas, good eats, clean restrooms. Only wish we had more closer in to DC!

As far as Wawa’s go, this one is solidly decent. Better than average. The food here is always fresh… probably because the place gets slammed 24/7, so there’s no time for anything to sit out too long. Often the lines in here can get ridiculously long. The coffee is, well… it’s Wawa coffee… what do you expect? It’s a dark brown liquid that’ll get you buzzed… it gets the job done… just don’t expect for it to taste great.

This was my very first experience with a Wawa. I heard great things from friends up north about them visiting wawas after their late night drinking binges… but I’m still a(biased) fan of sheetz stations over Wawas. But, if you need gas and some food that(probably) won’t make you sick… voilà! Food is decent, made to order, and cheap. You have to buy your own«sides» and drink to have with your sandwich from in the store… which is honestly how im sure they make their money.

I like stopping here on my way out to Eastern Shore or Annapolis. Decent gas prices and WaWa shorties/hoagies and other snackies. What’s not to love!

Gotta have a Wawa. Great stop along the way to the Eastern shore. Wawa has everything from gas to pizza. I was impressed that they had healthy items as well. Fruit cups, fruit bowls, veggies and wraps added a junk food alternative to the drive East.
