Good food and they have a great hibachi. Sushi is fresh and the buffet is decent. It’s real nice on the inside kept clean, and they give you great service.

The quality of the food exceeded my expectations, it was absolutely delicious. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the attentiveness of our server. I enjoyed that there were so many different options to choose from. The sushi was beautiful and tasty. I really enjoyed the hibachi grill and all of the many options to choose from. Every time I visit Anniston I look forward to dining in. Thank you for a great dining experience.

One of the best buffets I’ve had! Everything was fresh and plentiful. Great variety of sushi, and it was really good. Service was great and the place was kept clean. Will definitely come back! Great price at $ 9.99.

I’m wary of buffets. Especially Chinese buffets, although they’re generally delicious. This particular Asian buffet is very well-executed. Hibachi, sushi, Chinese, Japanese… All in one place, all you can eat, for an excellent price.

Ocean buffet is a newer restaurant, having only been open for a few months. I’ve been seeing some buzz about it on social media, so I made sure to check it out the last time I was visiting home. It’s definitely the best buffet in the area. With that being said, there’s not much of a selection for decent buffets nearby. Compared to their competitors, Ocean Buffet is a lot nicer looking and has way more to offer. * Hibachi — A neat feature of this buffet is that they offer hibachi. They have a section of the buffet with three types of raw meat, shrimp, veggies, etc. for you to choose from and have the hibachi chef cook on the grill in front of you. Some of the meat still had some frost on it from being frozen. I would stick with the thin cut meat and shrimp, because the thicker cut meat turned out very dry and tough. Other offerings for the hibachi ingredients were mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts, zucchini, jalapeños, noodles, and eggs. The hibachi chef was able to cook three different people’s plates at one time. You choose what kind of sauce you want added at the end. I chose teriyaki, which seemed to be the most popular choice. * Sushi — You won’t find another buffet in the area that offers Nigiri sushi. While the sushi wasn’t the best quality, it was still okay, and I went back for seconds. I feel like the all you can eat Nigiri sushi makes their $ 9.99 Dinner price a good deal. * Hot Food — They had a decent selection of hot prepared foods to choose from. Some of the items I tried were the coconut shrimp, fried oysters, mussels, frog legs, and plantains. I’ve always liked coconut shrimp at buffets, and theirs was also good. The plantains seemed a little out of place, but I love plantains and they were good! They also had four different soups available during my visit; egg drop, miso, hot and sour, & wonton. * Desserts — Typical Chinese buffet desserts, plus ice cream. Some of the ice cream flavors they had were mint chocolate chip, chocolate, butter pecan, orange sherbet, and cookies & cream. Overall, it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area, very hungry, and are wanting quantity over quality. The food is decent, depending on what you choose. For around $ 10, I think you get your money’s worth.

Food was mediocre, except for the hibachi steak to order which was one of best ever had – maybe because I told them how to make it and picked out my ingredients. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go again. They weren’t in a hurry to refill dishes during the prime dinner hour. Had some fried oysters that were totally rank – not just past prime but nasty before cooking. Not impressed. Not friendliest staff.

For a buffet, this place is great. The hibachi is superior — excellent quality even though selection is small. I’m a fan of this little place — which is really pretty huge — because of the selection and quality.

I do not usually like buffets; however, this place was great for a wide variety of seafood, sushi and choose your own ingredients hibachi. My shrimp and fried rice with vegetable hibachi was great. There were many fruits, desserts and ice creams to choose from too. Very affordable prices. Plan to come back soon. I hope the quality will be as good next time. Would have given a five rating, but since it is pretty much self serve– I held back on the five. Very good though.

All for the sushi! I love that this place has a hibachi and again… sushi on a buffet! Yum! Yum! I recommend this place. I’m only rating for the sushi side of this restaurant because I didn’t eat too much else.

Stopped by for the lunch buffet with some coworkers today. I’m told this place recently opened, but I’m not sure how recent. I must say Ocean isn’t bad as far as buffets go, especially in the area. There’s a variety of sushi available and it’s definitely fresh during lunch since there’s a high turnover. There’s also a buffet style Hibachi which is probably what makes Ocean unique for the area. If you aren’t into sushi or Hibachi there’s more common buffet fare farther down the line, as well as your usual Chinese buffet selections, hand dipped ice cream, and a fair selection of desserts.
