Service was very good but don’t eat the paella. Very mushy. Not the traditional paella.

Very good restaurant. The eggplant dish that they have as a tapas and main course is outstanding as is the tres leches cake. Great drink menu. All of the food is fresh and tasty however the mofongo was a bit disappointing.

Food was excellent. Server was friendly and helpful. Parking was a little trickery but I enjoyed my meal. Steak was cooked perfectly. Wife loved her sangria as well.

We went for lunch and had an excellent meal. We did not know what to expect since this restaurant is in the run down town of Ansonia. Our server was on point for being very busy and the only server working lunch. The goat cheese stuffed figs wrapped in bacon were amazing. We both shared our sandwiches which were the Cubano and the grilled shrimp wrap, which we both enjoyed. The beer selection was decent and the atmosphere was cozy. We cannot wait to go back for a dinner experience.

This place is incredible! There is not one thing about our dining experience tonight that we can complain about. The goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon may possibly be one of the most delicious foods I have ever tasted! After our appetizer we tried the stuffed half avocado and that also was delish!!! Our entrees, mine being the lamb shank and my husband’s the meat lovers paella, both were out of this world. The lamb fell right off the bone. The steak on the paella was cooked perfectly! Service was great, drinks were great, everything was great!!! We can’t wait to come back!!!

Me and my wife visited on a friday night. The place was pretty busy, we were seated in what was called the piano room. It was pretty dark with a big grand piano to the right where a female singer was playing the piano and singing. She was actually very good and knew alot of songs and even took requests. The seats were a bit uncomfortable and very wobbly. There were couches also which i liked but were too low to the table. i ordered the sampler platter my wife ordered the filet mignon stew and i ordered the steak with rice and beans and plantains. The food was delicious and the drinks were also pretty good i was able to try all 3 sangrias that they offered the white, peach, and red. For desert we ended the night with a tres leche cake which was very good and probably the highlight of the entire night. The negative i would have to say is although the food was good. It is a bit pricey if u ask me. Dinner for 2 with drinks and a dessert totaled out at $ 106.00. I have eaten at much better fine tasting restaurants and paid close to the same or even less in some cases. Although i had an overall good experience it was not worth the price at all unfortunately. For about half the price there are much better options without breaking the bank.

I tried Crave after hearing some good reviews from friends. We were not disappointed. We went on the night after Christmas and were seated immediately. The service was great and all our courses came out on time. We tried the Tuna Tar-Tar and Tuna Tacos for appetizers. Both were great; the Tuna Tacos had a Chipotle dressing that gave them a nice bit of spice! I had the Lobster Ravioli and really enjoyed it. Crave has a large menu of great choices, so it may take a couple of visits to find the best items here. A task I’m looking forward to. The wines-by-the-glass were good too and our waitress kept them full for us! I recommend giving Crave a try as I will certainly be back for more!

I went here a few times food was good and the drinks we’re awesome. It use to be my favorite place since I moved to ct from New York. However when making plans for the holidays. I went on their Facebook page and ask if they would be open. Their response was very rude I will never go back.

Very rarely do you see restaurants get better after their intial buzz and inception, but Crave is the exception to the norm! This is the best restaurant in the Valley hands down… it has gotten better since I first tried it and now I consider it to be simply amazing! We tried the clams, bronzino, and skirt steak. All dishes were PHENOMENAL! And make sure you try one of their mojitos. I highly recommend making reservations on the weekend. They have live music on Saturday nights. Ask to be seated in this piano lounge… its sleek and private… a great place for a date or quality time with your friends. Put it on the short list of restaurants to try… Definitely check it out!

HUGE fan of Crave. Delicious tapas, always able to get in, don’t freak about the location as it seems sketchy when you pull up. They recently expanded which is nice. Great happy hour specials and sangria! Be sure you get the figs. Hands down amazing!

First time here. Wanted to like it. We waited over an hour for appetizers and almost 2 hours and counting for entrees which have not arrived. The waitress is doing her best and has gotten us numerous drinks but this has been an awful first experience. I will not be back.

After going to this place 4 times and being satisfied every time I had to write a review. Place is clean with excellent service that help explain dishes. Croquettes are delicious along with the mofongo. Every time I go I try to try something new and it’s delicious every time. I would recommended this place to anyone

I was curious about the food after reading and hearing reviews about the food. I am Puerto Rican and so I just had to go being that the owner of from the island and the menu looked good. My husband and I drive all the way from Norwalk not knowing what to expect. The presentation of the dishes were beautiful and the food was AMAZING and DELICIOUS! Even though it was a little far for us but it was well with the trip. Needless to say, we will definitely be going back sooner rather than later.

My husband and I love this place as does everyone that we bring with us. They are personable, professional, and friendly. The owner, Libby is very kind and recognizes my husband and I around town. They are wonderful about accommodating allergies! My husband has gotten us takeout many times since our son was born since date nights are currently nonexistent. We definitely recommend it!

Love this place — such a gem in downtown ansonia! Great for date night as well, definitely not a «tuesday night» restaurant but a special night out. Amazing drinks, esp the caipirinha but skip the sangria(barcelona has a much better one) My boyfriend and I are both gluten free and they have tons of menu options… all the seafood is amazing and the paella is about as good as it gets. Thrilled to have a place like this in the valley.

I really enjoyed this place. Plus, they have gluten free options labeled right on the menu, if you need that type of thing(I am one of those people). Black bean soup was amazing. Dinner was equally as good. Unfortunately, two regulars got into a verbal and eventually physical fight in the dining room while we were there, which definitely killed the mood. I keep trying to talk my boyfriend into going back, but due to the awkward experience, he isn’t the most excited about this restaurant. I do hope to go back soon though!

Get the small plates here. the tostanoes and plantians are delcious as was the octopus appetizer. Do not get the short rib, because it’s bad. But the little $ 4 plates are an excellent value and delicious. My guitar instructor has regular gigs there and is just phenomenal. coywolf

Thrilled that Ansonia has a Latin Fusion restaurant serving up some tasty, flavorful food. Entrees run between $ 19-$ 25 so on the pricy side for downtown Ansonia but nice for a special occasion. A good option is to grab appetizers which average $ 10. Some of the highlights include the empanadas, calamari and chipotle rubbed tuna tacos. They also have a great wine selection and a ice dessert variety. When I visit home it is a good meeting place for the girls to get together and catch up.

Disappointed I heard many great things about the Crave… unfortunately my experience didn’t live up to it’s reputation. Comments: Very nice décor and warm setting. We were seated in the new addition. nice, but very LOUD… They need to find a way to buffer the noise from the bar to allow for a quiet setting so one can converse with their party over dinner. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Nothing special about the seating … wood tables pushed very close together… White table clothes and a little more distance between tables would be nice. 15 minutes between time we were seated until we saw a waitress. even longer to receive our drinks.(It was 6 o’clock New Years Eve, BUT not crowded). Between the time we ordered and the time we received our food was 45 minutes… unacceptable. The waitress was nice, but had an attitude… she was very impressed with herself, yet not so with the customer. Because it was New Years Eve, the menu was VERY limited AND very expensive. ave $ 43 per entrée. Thinking it was rated THE best Latin/Spanish restaurant in CT, I ordered the Paella… What a mistake. It was flavorless… needed more salt, saffron, a little red pepper and maybe some chicken stock… tasted like fried rice from Chinese take out(which I could have gotten much better and cheaper)…2 clams, 2 mussels, 2 shrimp, 1 dried out lobster tail and a lot of tasteless rice with sparse scallops and calamari, diced chicken and sausage. Very disappointing. I am thinking they made up a large batch for New Years Eve and didn’t figure in the appropriate amount of seasonings. My wife and daughter on the other had had a better experience. They ordered the chateaubriand for two… Cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Finger potatoes, mushrooms and onion rings very good. Desert was excellent. Not sure if I will return. for $ 200 I could have gotten much better!
