This is such a nice facility but it is disheartening that it is run so unprofessionally and disorganized (especially for the HOA fees that we pay to run it)
The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and if you say anything, you are made to feel like the problem and given the response «we never have other complaints like this» which is untrue if you look at all of the reviews on Unilocal,google, etc.
The Manager Kevin Shaffer is just what Keep it 100 R. said in his review on 7.15.15… and I couldn’t agree more with Unilocaler D. from 6.8.14 review.
I cannot believe he still has a job. Horrible manager and rude to people who politely bring up issues. As Anthem residents we are paying his salary. How can we get him removed???
Luckily, I have the Anthem Country Club where I can work out since I live in the Country Club so I have other options, but I feel bad for the other Anthem residents that don’t have other options other than «deal with it»

Today I witnessed horrible management skills at the Community Center. I have seen people in management take their power overboard but today was absolutely ridiculous. I have heard so many complaints about this manager but finally hearing and seeing what others have talked about so much shocked me. To hear him talk to people just reminds me of someone who must have been picked on as an unpopular child and now feels that treating kids and adults like peasants makes him important. What a shame that such a nice community has to deal with such a person with no people or managerial skills. Sooner or later it will come back to haunt him and the community center. There are ways to make sure people like this do not get away with treating people and personal so badly. Youtube is a wonderful tool and people should never forget how to treat people because they never know when they are being videotaped. He needs a new career for sure.

We just joined swim team this Season and couldn’t be happier with coach Justin and his staff. Great quality swim team practices, friendly lifeguards, clean facility, great team parents. Love it!

The facilities are clean and things are set up well with regards to equipment, the pool, the courts, etc. The front desk staff can be difficult to deal with; they are not rude or impolite, but it’s mainly the lack of information regarding general questions and inconsistency in assistance that can be frustrating (i.e., informed of a process to sign my child up for extracurricular activities, only to be told a completely different thing upon check in or sign up). Often these little minor issues are corrected after talking to someone beyond the front desk, but it’s an extra step, a headache, a step that creates more work for everyone on tasks that are quite simple. But it’s the only gig in town as far as community centers go, and the environment and ambiance is nice, so we just deal with it.

Love it. Always a smile and hello when you enter. Great place to work out. The only thing I felt was disrespectful was having their employee that day who happed to be African-​American be the greeter since it was Martin Luther King Jr. day. Seemed wrong to me.

Love this place. One of the reasons that I moved to Anthem was the community center. Clean inside and out, great pool with fun slides and bucket dumper. The programs are great for all three of my kids ages 10 – 17.
