Sonora Quest Laboratories

I have no quarrel with the quality of the blood and how it’s drawn-​what I do have a problem with is that NO MATTER WHEN I go, my wait is at the 30+ minute time! If the place is empty or full, I wait! If I could go somewhere else I would. Again, staff is more than competent and pleasant-​but over worked and understaffed! Today, a Monday-​1 person drawing blood and another doing receptionist/​office stuff. Poor woman told me she was sorry and she had drawn over 65 people that day so far.
I hope their scheduler sees this and realizes how this affects their business at some point.

I have been to several of the Sonora Quest Labs now and have been very impressed with the skilled technicians and efficient people behind the desk. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes or so and barely felt the needle each time. This SQ lab is different however. They were understaffed for the business and although I felt bad for them for having their receptionist not show up on their «busiest day» (according to one employee) I waited for almost an hour before I asked for my time sensitive lab order back. In addition to the long wait, I watched one tech look at the clock which read 8:38am and write 8:00 on my lab order and then tell me it would be ten more minutes. When I approached the desk again, ten minutes later, the other tech told me she was looking up the tests my Dr. had ordered because she didn’t know what they were. All in all, my decision to leave was based more on my concerns regarding their competency and accuracy than on the long wait. I would rather drive a little further to for peace of mind.

I don’t get blood work very often, but in the past it has been a somewhat painful experience as it’s sometimes hard to locate and hit a vein in my arm. Jennifer however, got it perfect on the first attempt, and I barely felt any pain at all… She was pleasant to talk to, as well as the rest of the office staff, and had a nice uplifting demeanor about her. The office and exam room were nice and clean and free of any «medical office odors» I’ve ran into before. I’m glad I found the location (it was by chance, I was visiting a nearby physician) as it is close to my house. I will surely recommend visiting this location to any family and friends needing any of your services.
