I was SHOCKED when I found out Dr. Campos had retired, I have been with him since I was 5 years old… the main reason I was shocked though was because there was no informal announcement about his retirement, nor was I notified when I went into the office for a routine check up. Upon arrival I was asked to fill out new paperwork which I thought was weird considering I’ve been his patient for over 20 years. Then I’m called back and the hygienist takes X-​rays and cleans my teeth, it’s only after she is done with the process that she informs me that Dr. Campos had retired and I would be seeing a new doctor. I almost screamed! How could you wait to tell me this until after my visit was done?! Why wasn’t I informed when I walked in the door and why is the new doctor still practicing under his name??? The doctor checked my teeth out and informed me that I had 2 cavities there’s no way I thought… she wanted me to come back ASAP to have them filled and worked up a quote for me to do so. After I left I had a very bitter taste in my mouth… I don’t have a history of cavities, I have immaculate oral hygiene. So I decided to go for a second opinion. I just left my second opinion and OMG I don’t have ANY cavities. Strange? Yes. Will I be going back to «Dr. Campos»? Most definitely NOT. I’ll be sticking with my new dentist, so sad because I’ve known the hygienist that worked with Dr. Campos for a very long time, that practice needs to remove his name from their building because he was an amazing dentist and would’ve never falsely told me I had 2 cavities that were nonexistent.

Dr. Campos retired earlier this year. So sad. More than sad – heartbroken! Dr Campos was one-​of-​a-​kind. EVERYBODY, just everybody loved him. Patients, staff alike. He deserves his early retirement, but I seriously wanted to cry when I heard he had retired.
Not a fan of the new dentist and would not continue to go there if not for my wonderful hygienist, Jennifer.

We have been going to Dr. Campos in Antioch for family dentistry for over ten years. I was terrified at first because of previous bad encounters with hygienists. They listened to my concerns and gave me laughing gas the first couple of visits. Since then I haven’t needed it because I have no fear of dental work anymore. The hygienists are very positive and gentle and there is very little turnover in the office. Through the years we have had several procedures (crowns, cavities, whitening…). We have never once had to wait. His scheduler and front desk and assistants are all very friendly, and it’s nice that they know the whole family and are helpful when dealing with insurance, etc.

I have had many bad experiences with dentists, so I am always hesitant when I have to find a new one. I saw that Dr. Campos had great reviews so I thought I would give him a try. I LOVE this office and Dr. Campos is wonderful! I had explained my previous experiences and my hesitations about the dentist to the receptionist when I made the appointment. I have had no less than three dentists find cavities that, when checked by another dentist, were never there!
When I went for my first appointment, I found the receptionist was fabulous, and the whole staff had been informed about my concerns. The whole team was great and very reassuring. I have now been twice and have my third appointment scheduled. I have found my dentist and even with my insurance changing, and not covering everything, I will still continue to see Dr. Campos and his WONDERFUL staff! Dr. Campos has restored my faith in the dental profession!
