Delta Kayak Adventures

Had a great, self-​guided trip on the delta today. We rented a tandem kayak for the full day and Kathy met us in the morning for the drop off. She made everything so easy and fun!

We decided to kayak last minute on a Monday, I called Kathy and she made it happen. Kathy met us at the Holland Trac Marina and we had a blast. Thanks Kathy, you ROCK!

Wonderful morning paddle out of Antioch Marina a few weeks ago. Kathy was an excellent leader and gave us a lot of kayaking tips as well as sharing about the history of the area we were exploring. I will definitely book with them again!

We went on an amazing sunset paddle on the Delta tonight. Kathy is a superb tour guide. Her pacing is perfect. She knows the history of the area and is able to point our interesting sites. Kathy is relaxed and allows time to enjoy the scenery without moving on too quickly. I would highly recommend Delta Kayak Adventures to adventurers of all ages.

We took our grandson on the Bethel Island tour. Delta Kayak provided a great outing, including a brief instruction lesson for two adults and a child on a larger kayak. Kathy is knowledgable about the area, including currents and tides, which prevented unnecessary and energy expending paddling. She promptly returned email questions about the tours and booking, although I think it would have been more efficient to call.

Kathy was fantastic. I wanted to tag along the Sunset and Moonlight kayak adventures, but she had concerns on communication as I’m deaf. Coupled with my lack of experience and having never taken a class. When I informed her that I could not take a class since, being deaf, I can not keep up with a classroom environment of hearing people. She went way out of her way to offer me a way to get training in a manner that I could keep up with, even though I did not ask her to! I learned a lot in the class I would have never known otherwise.
A few weeks later, I went along to a Moonlight paddle. WOW. It was gorgeous, the moon was beautiful, Kathy k new a great spot, and I never felt like we were rushed. It was a wonderful experience. I can not recommend her adventures enough. I will be going as often as I can, her prices are worth every penny and then some.

A great time, and even better– I learned more about kayaking. Kathy really loves kayaking and it is infectious in a soft and gentle manner. I’ve been on tours and hired Kathy for a full day private tour and cannot recommend her enough. She has a great niche in the Delta area. She is also a kind and pleasant person. I also like how level headed she is and has the knowledge to deal with any issues that might arise out there paddling. My two cents is that hers is the business to go to for Delta exploration.

Such fun. My 2 sisters, my mother and our husbands did the Bethel Island kayak tour with Kathy yesterday. A great time was had by all. We rode the tide out and although we paddle back with a returning tide a strong head wind had come up. I got a really good upper body workout! I was worried about my 82 year old mother and her 89 year old boyfriend. But, they made it through the one rough/​windy spot with a little help from Kathy’s assistant (daughter). A great time was had by all. Thanks Kathy.
