I didn’t realize how crowded these type of stores get on weekends, but they do! This one is across the street from Jerry’s Artarama, where I hang out. I ran in here looking for glo-sticks for Halloween and for spray water bottles. The place is a mess, on weekends! Just beware! The thing to do is just walk through all the isles slowly, looking for what you need. In this case, I asked an employee where the spray bottles were and she had no idea what I was asking. After cruising the isles, I found squirt bottles and glo-sticks. I found other goodies, but it was tedious, to say the least. Best time to go to one of these stores is on a weekday. If you hunt hard enough, you can pretty much find anything. Almost. The cashier was very friendly. I appreciate that.

They have so much stuff! I left with a full basket. The woman at the register was very friendly. You won’t leave without buying at least a couple things!

Good ol’ Dollar Tree. Don’t be hatin’ on the Dollar. If you buy wrapping paper, gift boxes, birthday or Valentines balloons, or bows and craft supplies full price, you don’t know the value of a dollar, suckah! The definition of stupidity is spending money to impress people you don’t like by purchasing things you don’t need, with money you haven’t earned yet(credit). I try to get some wrapping paper & bows, & craft supplies like glitter, cardboard, craft paper, seashells, those glass pebbley things, cleaning products– which are just fine, and full of the same harsh chemicals we Americans have grown to love– right here. When I’m rich & can afford to shop at Whole Paycheck & save the environment I’ll switch to products with a philosophy. Till then, it’s harsh chemicals & apologetic recycling. «All the honeys, saving money… « Sooo… the BESTTHING about this dollar tree is… duhn duhn dunnnnn… JASONNNN! :D He is the sweetest, funniest, smiliest employee the Dollar Tree has ever hired in the history of Dollar Tree! When I stop in and Jason is there, I’m actually, like, WEIRDLYEXCITEDTOBEINDOLLARTREE, Oh Em JEE, HAILEY, What is happening to my life??? But you know how there are just those people? Who are so freaking cool and fun to be around? That even if you just know them from working at a store or see them for a few minutes, they have a positive energy and a glow about them, you just know they are going to be very successful and probably president of their own Dollar Tree or Jason, Inc. one day? That is how I feel when I walk in and see Jason. Jason treats each person who walks in as if they were a special friend that dropped by! He gets that, hello, if you’re going to be «stepping up the ladder»(I’ve waitressed & done retail myself) then put a smile on your face & freaking own it, kill it, represent Jason Inc, and get that great reference for your next, better job. I can only imagine what his opportunities will be like in life if someone discovers him and gives him a big sales job. It’s rare to meet someone so consistently upbeat. We could all use a little of that sunshine– being happy in the moment. I’m writing this because I worked in retail for four years in high-school and too often I think people just complain and don’t talk about when someone is awesome at their job. #notcool #peopleshouldberewardedtoo #thisisnttwitterhaikay #whatevs So in the future I’ll still be hitting this location. Oh, to be Gwyneth Paltrow and slapping myself in the face with my Black Amex. All of these add up to why I’ve become an Amazon freak lately. Try Amazon Prime you will love life and never have to leave your house & snuggly family again except for select engagements– and considering modern society, isn’t that for the best? Oh, go see JASON at Dollar Tree! ;) Where you can shop for a discount with a smile.
