This place is great. Small local shop, so not the selection of the larger fish stores, but an incredible amount of discus and Angels. They are bred by the owner and are very healthy looking. I bought a heater for a 20 gallon tank that was the cheapest I had seen at any store. I will definitely be making the drive out to Antioch again to come here. I enjoyed the store and I feel good supporting small fish stores like this one.

I was looking for Bala Shark’s specifically. I stopped in this store a few months ago. I remembered he had some really big Bala Shark’s, 8″ and larger, but they were already sold.
I stopped by again to see if he had any more. He did, 8″ and larger for $ 20 each. I bought three, going back to get another. I’ve had them for three day’s and they look healthy and are doing well.
I only gave three stars because the place is not very appealing visually. The tanks are all pretty dirty too. I normally never buy fish from a dirty tank but wanted the large Bala Shark’s so I took a chance.
He’s definitely worth taking a look at.

I’ve been back several times since my first review. Rick is a very nice guy who wants to help every customer. He runs the shop completely by himself. He is breeding freshwater Angel’s, he also just started breeding Discus again and has an awesome selection of both. He has some really rare and unique color Angel’s. His pricing on fiah, food, sponge filters and Aqua Clear filters are very competitive too. Definitely a must to stop by.

I’ve been in there once or twice but I’ve called a few times and Rick was always very helpful with my questions.

Love fintastik I got a few angels and drift wood :) my angels are now huge! And getting ready to breed! Now that we feel we have mastered the fresh water community we will be moving on to salt water this fall with Ricks help! :) can’t wait!!!

I just got a new fish tank and Rick has been extremely helpful since I have not a clue what I’m doing. I really appreciate his help and love having a small business owner in downtown.

~2 months later all 6 angels are doing great, they are about 3 times larger than when i bought them. Very happy.

Ever since Phil sold the store to someone all the prices when up even the the worm and all the fish supply and fish are very expensive. I’m not buying here anymore…

I like this guy. Its a small shop but he has some cool discus, angels and crayfish. But that’s it! only discus, angels and crayfish!

This is a great spot to see if your a discus fan or angle fan he breeds great strains of discus. He is helpful –the owner (phil) i bought a discus there last week an its is alive an vibrant. thanks phil for your dedication to the hobby ill be back there again i wish it was closer to my house its an hour away.
