I lived here for many years, when I moved in it was a nice place to live, rent was only 650.00, the apartments are super small, you open the door and it hits your took months to get anything done. after the new managers took over it went way down hill, not a safe place to took me almost a year to get my heater fixed, because they kept switching managers. dont do it, there are nicer places to live

I lived at Garden Court Apartments for 10 years, yes a very long time. I sent my child to private school and scrimped on rent to do so. When I moved in, Mak and Raye were the apartment managers. It was a good family complex. All the children played in the court, the pool was clean, beautiful roses every where, tall shady palm trees gave a bit of paradise feel to the place. They were a bit nosey, busy body kinda of people. They cared about the safety of the kids, and wanted to know the residents, make sure the rules were being followed. No problem. Years later, they moved on and the next manager, well he let things go. Roses began to die, greenery removed, pool was closed by the city inspector… The owner of the complex sold to another guy. Rent kept going up, up keep was no longer being done. The guy after him, a drunk, didn’t do much, but complain. He got free rent and paid 17 dollars an hour to do odds and ends(never seen do anything) and complained they wouldn’t give him overtime. He was picked up by 911 responders a few times. Drank way to much. They place fell deeper. The last manager, tried to keep the pieces of the apartment in take, he was handed a mess. Hardy was the owner and he wanted his money, and I left. I wasn’t going to pay 1100 dollars for a two bedroom unit in Antioch, with no amenities, since they all badly taken care of. After ten years, I had enough. Rent went for $ 475 to $ 1100 over that period of time. Pool was a huge plus, but in the last three years, it was pretty much closed. I gave noticed, cleaned the place(cleaner than when I moved in) and asked for my deposit back. Two months of run around and he kept making excuses. The manager at the time agreed with me and said he is playing games. I never got my deposit back, he likes to keep money not give it back. I know of a few others that moved out while he owned the place and they didn’t get theirs back either. Hardy runs a horrible place. I gave it two stars for the first 7 years.
