My 10 piece was delicious half Cajun & Mild; seasoned to perfection. Hot and fresh. I called ahead; when I walked in the lady at the register had my order ready. This is my go to place for wings not to fond of the sides.

I have truly given up on this Hot Chicken Joint! I used to eat here twice sometimes three times a week that’s how much I love hot chicken! Then it became maybe once every two weeks, now it’s barely once a month. I decided to try one last time tonight, husband picked up a breast quarter medium with order of fries and medium sauce on the fries. He had his usual Wings Hot! Got home and opened the box to see that the chicken shrunk in size as if they killed a baby chicken out of desperation!!! I mean the bread was bigger then the chicken . The seasoning wasn’t the usual flavor I understand that it depends on the cook and that it might not be the same but come on what happened to consistency? Don’t get me started on the wings! I will never come back they have lost my business. If you are looking for CRISPY juicy HOTCHICKEN who’s flavor is delicious and it is made to order hit up A&C’s spicy chicken and fish off of HAMILTON st. Right across from the Walmart by WingStop! It is way BETTER and the service is amazing! Call ahead so you don’t have to wait because a breast quarter takes 20 minutes to cook! You won’t regret it I promise! And it’s the same distance! Sorry Hot Stuff you had more then 3 chances with me!

Whenever I’m craving a fish sandwich, hot stuff is the place I go to. I’m not a spicy food girl but I can take the mild flavor ! I stopped by here to get the lunch special, it includes your choice of meat, side & drink. I ordered my food to go upon arriving. When I walked in to pick it up I was handed a small cup, not the normal medium or large size. It was like a kids size cup. There was a new person at the register. I wanted to say something but I was in a rush & went back to work. I asked for mustard, onions & pickles on the side. There was no pickles in sight & no onions. The best thing about the meal was that the fish was fresh & got ! Daaaah well ! I’m sure I’ll be back. I give this place 5 stars based on my past visits …

I started visiting this place because Prince’s chicken is soooo far from me! There chicken is okay the medium is extra spicy I always get mild. This trip I order the fish it was good. I think they have a new owner because they used different pickles and the tea taste different. Other than that it’s an okay place.

Pretty good food overall. Service is usually a little below par but the spicy food just keeps me coming back! Decent portions for prices as well.

Nashville is on the map for hot chicken & if you want flavorful, juicy, fresh hot chicken, then Hot Stuff is your place. I can’t even eat at Hattie B’s anymore because this place is so good! You can order a la carte or get a combo. Don’t skip the fruit tea… it’s AMAZING. Make sure you call ahead if you are ordering take-out they stay super busy.

Anytime I come to the Nashville area i stop at this place immediately after my flight lands. I could eat it like every single day. I loooooooooooooove the extra hot fish with wings and their fruit tea is amazing as well. The service is a bit slow but the food is well worth the wait. I wish there was a way to have their food shipped to the DC area

Being a major fan of all the big Hot Chicken joints(Prince’s, Bolton’s, Pepperfire, &400 Degrees), this was the best other hot chicken I’ve had. Great flavor, good frying, excellent sides. Worth a visit for true hot chicken fans.

I had one of the sampler plates, with chicken tenders and fish. The chicken was fine, but the fish was exceptional – crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Be sure to try the fruit tea too. It won’t help with the heat, but it’s terrific in its own right. The service was efficient, friendly, and fast – barely ten minutes, speedy for a chicken place.

3.5 stars. In house fighting between the cashier and the guy in back. Lots of loud arguing. A lot of calls for take away, while I was standing there. very busy. I enjoyed my tenders. I also had some x-hot tenders and the spices they used didn’t wow me. It was hot alright, but the spices weren’t good tasting. Maybe some hot smoked paprika and or cayenne pepper, has more flavor than just black pepper and white pepper. Ordered the bacon, cheddar french fries and they took some fries and microwaved them until they were smoking hot and the cheese was melted. The fries were limp. This was a terrible choice. I plan to return and try the wings. Give them another chance.

Now THAT’s fried chicken done right!!! The chicken tenders are okay, but I wouldn’t waste my taste buds there. Get the fried chicken breast with its delicate balance of heat, flavor, and texture properly coated with the perfect seasoning that will make your mouth water! I am obsessed with hot chicken and friends kept telling me to go here. They were right!!! The french fries are perfect, the chicken is juicy, and the batter is crisp! As far as hot chicken goes, it far surpasses the wannabes like Prince’s and Hattie B’s!!! For me, it ranks second ONLY to Big Shakes(the world’s greatest chicken)! That’s a huge compliment!!! If you are in the Hickory Hollow area, check out Hot Stuff and you won’t be disappointed!!!

The customer service is fair. When the food is right you will be very pleased. There have been a few times that I was disappointed with the food. I’ve only been to the bell road location. I’ve always order my food to go as a call in… Not that the atmosphere isn’t pleasant I just choose not to eat there… They have the sweetest and best fruit tea I’ve had from a restaurant. The fruit tea is like a dessert! I normally order the lemon pepper wings and fries.

Best hot chicken in.Nashville. Everytime I hear of a new hot chicken place opening up I will go and try it… But always keep coming back to tried and true hot stuff chicken… Don’t come in here expecting to be out in 5 minutes… Each order is made when you place your order… It is definitely worth the few minutes that you will wait…

This place is as good as any hot chicken establishment in Nashville. The hot is plenty for me.(Compare to 200°). It’s a bit off the beatin path. Near the driving range on Bell road. It’s small and simple inside — never really crowded. But as with all hot chicken places, it’s better if you call ahead. The portions size is a tad small-ish. I think they should step up to the next size. CVP fresh chicken is cheap. Love to stop by when I’m in the area. Highly recommend.

Great flavor and great spice, but beware of ordering wings, more like wing dings or wingettes. The fish is amazing as is the chicken of course. Certainly a good place for Nashville hit chicken. The fruit tea is a must, but it is to your advantage to call ahead since everything is made to order, you may have to wait for it.

The chicken and fish were pretty good, I had the mild and will step up to medium next time. The only problem that I have with this place is the wait time for the food. To avoid the wait I called in my order, the problem there is I was put on hold for over 5mins. I gave up the first time and ended up going somewhere else, I tried it again today and was put on hold again for 5 mins. I was about to try somewhere else but decided to give it one more chance, finally was able to put more order in. This is a big problem for their business and I hope they fix it cause the food is good but I won’t wait on hold again as a lot of new places are now serving hot chicken.

I am a «Hot Chicken» junkie. I LOVE it and eat it quite often. I was excited to try this place for the first time so when the opportunity to have a «lunch meeting» with an associate came up we decided to go here. He really likes the place and had talked it up in our discussions of Hot Chicken. I do have to state I am a HUGE fan of Prince’s. They are the originator and in my opinion the very best in town.(There is only one place serving Hot Chicken that I have not tried yet.) Saying this I judge all my Hot Chicken dining experiences against what I have come to call my favorite, Prince’s. My friend did mention he liked Hot Stuff because it does not have the same heat as Princes, he eats Mild. He was correct. They are not as hot as others places.(I usually order Extra Hot.) I tend to like the Dark Quarter and a side of Potato Salad to cool you off after the chicken. The chicken was good and spicy but not really enough burn for me but I am a little crazy when it comes to heat. The chicken was made fresh to order as any self respecting Hot Chicken joint would do.(I was advised and did, call in my order while on the way.) The flavor was good but did not blow me away and the meat was moist enough to be called moist. The potato salad was just so… so. The stars of the lunch was the Fruit Tea and French Fries. The tea was fruity and not too sweet. The fries were crinkle cut and seasoned with some kind of Cajun type seasoning. They were very good. My wife was a little Hot Chickened out as she has been on a little binge for the last 2 ½ weeks, eating at Prince’s 3 times and having it at home 4 times made by me.(I have working on emulating Prince’s «Mild» recipe changing it a little each time. The last batch, I was told, was perfect and dead on. NOTE: Making Hot Chicken at home will never stop me from going out and having it. Saying all of this, she had a Salad with Grilled Chicken. The Salad looked nice and the Grilled Chicken looked OK. I did not try any of it. All in all, I had an OK experience and will most likely eat here again when in the area. I would like to try the different menu items including the fish. This is where other Hot Chicken joints have something Prince’s does not, a menu with variety. This does give you the opportunity to have what you want when there is someone else in your group that may not eat spicy food. In a «nutshell» the food was good and the variety of menu choices great. The prices are about the same as anywhere else and the store was clean. The woman who took my order was friendly which is always a plus. Give this place a try and let me know how it compares to other Hot Chicken meals you have had.

Freezing cold means it’s a good, no, a great night for some hot chicken. Fairly close to the freeway and easy to find, I put my order in only to find out that most people call their orders in because the chicken is cooked to order. So, I ended up cooling my heels for about 30 minutes because a few other customers had called in some fairly large orders. The chicken was very good, but I think it was the hot sauce that elevated the meal. The catfish also had the sauce on it, and it was hot yet so flavorful I couldn’t help but lick my fingers a time(or more). The restaurant is basic and a little unkempt, but I wasn’t there for the décor or the atmosphere. And when I return, it won’t be for the ambience either.
