I finally pulled my family out after 6 years. I left after one year, and went to Kaiser. Phones don’t open until 9am, but the office opens at 7am. Doctor is ALWAYS behind. Staff is rude, and disorganized. Getting blood work, required going to a different lab. Nothing was ever easy, and took multiple phone calls. Dealing with Dr. Khonsari always left me feeling frustrated, and angry. I never felt like he listened to me. Or valued my opinion as a mother and a woman.

Been a patient of Dr. Khonsari almost 7 years and haven’t regretted a single moment. He was a bit understaffed and overworked for awhile but has hired a second doctor (Dr Ikeda) and she is just as good as he is. The staff is friendly and courteous — but they don’t mess around when it comes to missed appointments and cancellations in under 24 hours ($ 65 charge for each). They also charge to fill out various disability forms, as stated on the front desk window when you walk in though I don’t have any experience with this.
Highly recommended if you are in the East Contra Costa County area.
