Leonard’s Smog and Auto Repair

Charges you way to much for a shitty job I have to pay again to have my complete exhaust system done again for the shitty weld job. Leonard even charged me for work that they didnt even do. Hes acts nice then trys to rip you off.

In response to the Jan 10 review, Leonard is really a good guy. If you have any after service problems, just give him a call and give him a chance to make it right. Did you call and let him know that you were having issues? We have taken 3 out of our 5 cars to his shop over the last year or so, and he has always performed honest and excellent services. We highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a local and reliable auto shop. As a matter of fact, he is working on our car as I write this. I only came up on this review when I was quickly looking up his number to give him a call, so I thought I would help to contribute to his status. ha ha

My car was billowing smoke inside the car and had a bad chemically smell coming through the vents. So I had to find a place to fix it. Usually I take it to SF since it is cheaper out there, but we decided to take it to Leonard’s after I saw the ad in the Antioch weekly magazine that comes out (I forgot the name of the publication-​but every time I choose someone from there it has really been bad luck-​you would think I would have learned by now!). Anyway, he told me he fixed the problem and charged me 80.00 for diagnosing the problem, labor and then 40.00 for the spray («equipment”/part he used) to clean up the gunk he said.
Okay the smell was worse after that. As soon as I got home it started smoking all over again with of course now a worse smell! The engine light that they turned off went on again. First of all I can’t believe a spray cost that much and he made the situation worse rather than better. Terrible place and I would never go back to him again! My dh thought he did not even touch the car stating it was in the exact same way he parked the car-​so I don’t even know-​maybe he just sprayed it and that was it.
