MAYAS Ice Cream

I gone to this place a few times already and I love it! The owners are so friendly, they make you feel comfortable and care for their customers. And also I love their natural smoothes. So refreshing for the hot days.

Very unprofessional. They have signs posted of their hours but they are never there. I’ve came on 3 different occassions HOURS before closing and they were already closed. I won’t be going back again and waisting anymore time.

The mangoneada is so delicious, i recommend it! Love how it has a lot of fresh mango pieces in it!!! Family owned and very friendly environment. Will definitely be coming here again. I highly recommend it

Such a great spot to come to on a hot sunny day! I got a scoop of Guava and one of Pistachio! Super fresh and super delicious! My Tia got a mangoneada and couldn’t put it down! The ladies are really sweet and gave my Tia samples of every flavor she would say out loud without even asking if she wanted one! Great place! Too many items on their menu to choose from! I love it! Next time I’m for sure getting an elote with a raspado!

Yumm! I tried Maya’s again and I’m glad I did. I mangoneada!
What the heck?! Went there at 3 pm today. Lights off, store closed. Open 7 days a week is painted on the window… Maybe because it’s the week of Christmas, they took extra time off? Would’ve been nice if there was a sign.
I’ll try again next year and give a proper review.

Came in for yhe mangoneada, they ran out of the mango ice cream but we asked for a different fruit ice cream. We got it with strawberry and tamarindo (we bought two). The owner is so nice!!! Let us sample with the two different ice cream. Also, i thought it would be super sweet, but its a perfect combination of sweet (ice cream), sour (the mango) and spice (tajin). Would def bring my friends here again

I hope this place never goes away given the amount of businesses that comes and go in this little plaza. Their ice creams are unique and yummy. The mangonadas are BOMB, but I have noticed they keep changing the proportions. So I’ll just remember to ask for more ice cream and less mangoes next time. And I just saw how they expanded their menu to items you would find on those neighborhood Mexican carts (which I was missing so much around here!).
I’ve had the tamales they only sell on weekends, and they’re alright lol. I wish there was more meat on them.
But regardless, the owners are really friendly and this place is perfect to fulfill those cravings.

I don’t think this is a place for someone who is just walking by. You should have an idea of what this place has to offer prior to coming in. Since you’re here reading this, some notes…
Came in specifically for the Mangonada and definitely wasn’t disappointed. I was so intrigued by the distinct flavors that made it such a delicious treat. So I was satisfied.
The interior is just a little weird. It’s not a place to sit down in, really. It was hot, there were a few tables and chairs from a garage there to sit, and there was no music playing or anything, so I felt like I had to whisper the whole time. It was awkward.
All that aside, I’m happy that nice people are running a cool, new and different spot in that corner suite where a few frozen yogurt spots had previously resided.

Didn’t find anything out of the ordinary; in fact I found their ice cream on sweeter side of what I’d prefer.
The staff here (maybe the owners) are very nice and friendly though.

Where to start, where to start… ok, let’s go with «How nice was the lady behind the counter?!» She kept giving us tasters of ice cream to make sure we got the flavor we wanted! She was super sweet. It’s nice to see a business owner taking pride in their work. :)
I had the Fresas con Crema (Strawberries and cream). It took me back to my childhood. Super delicious! At $ 2/​scoop, I’m in!

Wow, this place is awesome! Not your typical ice cream shop, Mayas serves Mexican ice cream. They’ve got a few traditional flavors but far more interesting are their exotic flavors like soursop, avocado, corn, mamey (look it up!), guava, tamarind, strawberry fresca, cream cheese, tequila, and so much more. I’ve tried a few flavors and while not all of them were to my taste, I appreciate the creativity and selection. At $ 2 a scoop, the price is reasonable and the service is friendly. Don’t be afraid to ask for samples.
Had a mangonada for the first time. Basically, 2 scoops of mango ice cream, generously smothered in fresh mango pieces and mixed with a chamoy sauce which tastes to be a combination of salt, tamarind, and a little chili powder (but it’s not spicy). Loved it. A good mix of sweet, tangy, and salty. $ 5 for a big cup, which I thought was a great value.
We luckily live close by and will be regular customers now that we’ve discovered this place. They also serve food like tamales and other Mexican things I’ve never heard of but am eager to try.
I’m not going to say that Mexican ice cream is for everybody (I honestly prefer the gelato place), but Mayas is a cute mom & pop shop with unique flavors and a fun place to try something new. Highly recommend stopping by!

We are addicted! You can try as many as you want! My personal favorite is the Soursop and Strawberries and Cream. My hubby likes the mango and plain strawberry.
It is hard to see from Lone Tree, though we were informed of this on our neighborhood site (
). Its in the parking lot of Tailgaters and needs more visible signage. Hope the business stays stable as their ice creams are quite phenomenal!
We have taken everyone from our family there at 1 point and will continue frequenting the place for our ice cream addiction.

Mayas has a bunch of interesting and tasty flavors, including tequila, mango, elote (corn) and much more! Today, we kept it simple. After sampling several flavors, I ordered two scoops — mamey and guava. And my friend ordered avocado and cream cheese. Each flavor tasted really fresh and creamier than those chain brands. They offer other tasty treats, such as the mangonada that many people ordered.
For this area, Mayas is the go-​to spot for unique and exotic ice cream flavors. This will be the first of many visits.

Was looking for a local place to get some Mangonada. So I gave it a try, it wasn’t great but not bad. I bought 4 cups @ $ 5 a piece. Wish it was either a bigger cup or more mango ice cream in it though. The ratio was about 2 to 1 of mango slices to ice cream.

I’m so glad they opened something different in the area, finally not something so basic. There was a young girl working and she was so friendly and helpful answering questions and giving samples. By the way, she said their ice cream is made in Mexico then sent to San Jose where they buy it, so it’s authentic. I ordered the mangonada which was one of the best I have very had, I think it was their mango ice cream that made it so great.

Cute little hidden spot. This location is good for me cuz it’s close by and I know it’s there, but as far as business its hidden in a corner and is not seen at all when on Lone Tree Way. You have to be coming from Golf Course to be able to even notice it.
The guy just kept giving us samples of all the flavors. Very nice man. $ 5 mangonada, $ 2 for 1 scoop, $ 4 for 2 scoops. Extra .25 for regular cone, .50 sugar come, .75 large sugar cone. It’s pricey for the amount you get.
My son got the strawberries n cream on a sugar cone. He loved the ice cream but didn’t like the fact that there was no ice cream inside his cone. It was hallow and a little scoop of ice cream just laid right on top.
LIME ice cream was tangy and sour just how my husband likes it. So he enjoyed his 2 scoop in a cup.
My mangonada needed more ice cream for the amount of mango and chamoy (red sauce) in it.
$ 11.50 for good flavor treats with little to enjoy.

Incredibly friendly service and free samples as soon as you walk in. Julietta was kind and the young lady behind the counter was very gracious with my endless questions about their ice cream and offerings. Lots of different ice cream offering! I’ll be back.
