Awful awful awful! Will never go here again! I honestly love helping local businesses and rarely eat at chains. So decided to try this place out. The lady running the place was wonderful great customer service! The problem is the food it tasted mediocre at best. Totally store bought with expensive prices. My sandwich was soggy and tasted like a po-boy you can buy for $ 2 at a gas station. The worst part of all while looking around the store I saw moldy food in the sink, items on display looked a few days old and my sisters soda was expired. After I ate I started feeling sick and ended up throwing up. Called my sister and same thing she got sick right after eating threw up then felt better. Honestly the health inspector needs to make a surprise visit to this place.

The owner Ladonna is very down to earth and always serve my family and I with great customer down home feeling service. I had the pastrami sandwich today that was really good, even though It was a little to much butter she made it over for me and I was completely satisfied. I love this little cute peaceful spot. Good fresh sandwiches and fruit.

Today I had the pastrami sandwich special. It was really good. I love talking to the owner as she really is a very funny and keep it real person(in her voice) to chat with. I’ll probably bring my family by tomorrow while we attend the concert to grab a bite to eat. The only complaint I have for now is she haven’t been serving the crab specials lately, which I really miss. I bragged on the crab so bad and sort of disappointed that my family is here in town and won’t be able to taste it.

Great customer service! I walk my two pit bulls by the water down there every Thursday. I stop by the deli and holler to the owner from the door what I want, walk my dogs for about 30 minutes, come back, sit on the grass and she brings me lunch and my dogs a bowl of water. My favorite sandwich is the turkey with that herb cream cheese spread, the bread is always so soft. It’s just a quaint little deli with good food and great customer service.

The one star is not worth it. I went in to try something new and was completely disappointed. And was sick the whole rest of the day. First off, I ordered the primo Italian sandwich and macaroni salad. The salad was the store bought brand which I don’t mind. The sandwich was so full of mayonnaise and a garlic sauce that is put on it it became soggy by the time I got to where I was able to eat. I decided to just pull the meat and cheese off and eat that. I had given the other half to a coworker and he had to do the same. As we were eating it we noticed a foul flavor to the meat and stopped eating it… so the whole sandwich went into the garbage. That night both me and the coworker became ill.

My family and I went to Antioch free concert and ran into Nuce Nuce Deli which is conviently located by the event. I stopped in to grab me, my hubby, my mother and kids a bite to eat. I first noticed a very nice lady who stated she’s the owner, her cute little grand daughter that gave us a menu and another young lady who was helping prepare the food. I had the fish and chips which was delicious and not over cooked, my hubby had a hot pastrami sandwich that he said was good, my mother had nachosand the kids had casper dogs and red velvet cake. Everyone was satisfied with their food and the serving size. We will definitely eat here again when we go to the next concert. I will definitely tell all my friends about the nice, clean, cute little deli i found!!! Thumbs up to the owner!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would… We found this place in between dance recitals and hoped that it’d be one of those great hole in the wall places. We couldn’t have been more wrong! The bread was soggy on all of our sandwiches, the turkey on the California Dreamin was cheap processed lunch meat, the bacon was cold, and the bread looked dirty where it was cut in half and there were pieces of foil embedded in the bread. We got jello for the kids and when they opened them we realized they were 2 years past expiration. There was also packaged chips and salsa for sale that was 3 years past expiration. The hot pastrami sandwich was the only edible thing we ordered but it was definitely not worth the $ 9 they charged for it. When my husband and cousin took their sandwiches back and asked for a refund, the girl working had the manager come down. The manager came around the corner yelling at us as soon as she saw us and refused to give us a refund for the two sandwiches. She said the out of date jello was just for display purposes, and wasn’t supposed to be sold. And the out of date salsa was a sale item and we didn’t have to buy it. The health department should take a good long look at this place. I’m not sure how they are still in business and how they got the 4 and 5 start reviews that they got.

The most unbelievably atrocious customer service I HAVEEVEREXPERIENCEDINMYLIFE — from the owner!!! DONOTENTER!!! My family and I were at the theatre around the corner for our niece’s ballet recital and came here during intermission for a bite to eat. While waiting for our orders we noticed the Jell-o that our niece’s were about to eat were 2 years old! We brought it to employee’s attention and was very polite and apologetic, but unable to effectively deal with the sitiation. She just gave us $ 1 from the tip jar instead of a full refund, and said we could just pick out something else instead. As I work in the food industry I started looking around and realized the place was just filthy. Dust, spiderwebs, garbage and. junk everywhere. There is a kiddie pool on top of the refrigerator that holds that bottled bevs, junk in the back room completely unrelated to anything they’d need to run a food establishment, and everything that is pre-packaged is WAY past date — I found cups of chips and salsa unrefrigerated and dated for 2007. That was 7 years ago people! Produce sitting in the sink that should be refrigerated and kept in a separate container. Basically if the health dept came they would’ve been. shut down. There are also no health permits anywhere to be seen. Anyway, we went to ask for our money back as the food just didn’t taste good on top of all that, and the girl called the owner for approval and said no money back, but we could have another sandwich. We told her we didn’t want another sandwich and why, and she said the owner would be down in 5 mins to take care of it. The owner walks up and first thing out of her mouth is, «WHAT’S WRONG?!!» We asked if she was the manager. «I’M THEOWNER, WHAT’S WRONG?!!» She proceeds to continuously scream in our faces for the whole block to hear, accusing one of our party of screaming at her employee and throwing things. Completely untrue, however wouldn’t you be a little upset if you concerned about a product you purchased and for your health and were being told you were wrong? We told the owner her products were out of date and we were just concerned about the sandwiches we bought because of this and she denied it all, said she just restocked everything and the jell-o’s were just displays. Yet we were served them… We pointed out other out of date items and she said, «well those are on sale, and you don’t have to buy them!» Basically it ended with us leaving without getting our money back or any kind of resolution, empty stomachs and that AWFUL owner still screaming at us in complete denial that her food and facility are unsanitary and unfit to even be opened to the public. Gordon Ramsay — WHEREAREYOU?

I really want this place to make it, as its in Downtown Antioch, and the owner is really nice. However, I ordered a cucumber and tomato salad, and it was $ 5. It came in a paper bowl like you would get fries in. Really? Not worth it

Small deli right on the delta. Outside and inside seating. Super friendly staff and excellent service. Hot pastrami sandwich was perfect! Excellent meat flavor without all the extra fat found in some pastrami. They also serve fresh fried prawns and fish that we plan to try next time. Serve breakfast all day.

I work in downtown Antioch and was very excited to see a deli open up that would offer more lunch variety within walking distance. The sandwiches would be much better if not so skimpy on the meat servings. The other local delis serve double that size for a lot less money. I have also walked to the store to find it closed a few times when their«hours sign» states they should be open.

came here because my daughter had 2 dance recitals back to back. So we walked over after her first dance was over and had one hour in between recitals. All we ordered was 2 hot dogs. My daughter(5) was starving so I told her a hot dog shouldn’t take that long. Walked in and there was 2 people sitting and hanging out and a family of 4 sitting down already. We ordered our food and the lady made it seem like it would be right up. we waited 45 minutes for 2 hot dogs!!! This lady is completely overwhelmed and had no help whatsoever. The family before us didn’t even get their food together, by the time the last person got her food the first person had already finished eating 15 minutes before. My daughter was so hungry that I had to keep buying her chips and candy to feed her so by the time she got her hot dog she was filled with junk and it was already time to go back to her dance. Nice lady but food isn’t worth it and lady is completely overwhelmed. I will never go back again. sorry.

My family and I were referred here by the business owner when leaving from the El Capanil theatre. Upon walking up we smelled the delicious smell of BBQ coming from the smoker in front. I was extremely excited to taste their BBQ based on the smell alone. The inside of the store was clean and organized which impressed me as well. There was one young lady working behind the counter who was very pleasant. We ordered 3 sandwiches a kasper hot dog and one BBQ chicken dinner. To start off, my BBQ chicken was luke warm like it had been thrown in the microwave but not for long enough. Although the baked beans were delicious, the portions were so small I literally had 3tsp of each side. The chicken was not filling at all and the sauce tasted as if it was poured directly out of the Kraft bottle. We waited approx 35min for our food. My daughters hot dog was over microwaved(crispy on the end) and my other daughters sandwich was made completely wrong to her order. Prices are too high considering food and service. Very disappointed overall. Tried to support a local business but they will not get any support from my pockets again.

Prices are kind of high. $ 14 for a sandwich $ 5, macaroni salad$ 5, and a can soda $ 2.50. I got the«hail Caesar» sandwich. It was pretty small for $ 5. Tasted ok but Subway tastes better and i dont care to much for subway. Macaroni salad was 100% store bought. Was really hot and stuffy in the place. the owner was very nice. Also, if you use a debit/credit card theres a $ 10 minimum for purchases. Didnt like that because all i wanted was the sandwich but had to get other stuff so i could use my card. Probably wont be back unless its for there Crab dinner or ribs dinner(sounded pretty yummy).

This is the problem that Im having, although the food is delicious she never opens her deli on time. Dont have a sign that says the deli opens at 10am and not show up until after 12pm. I have waited on three different occasions for the deli to open and the owner never even showed up. There is also no message on the answeing service so you dont really feel to welcomed when calling to make sure the deli is open. Lol its after 10am and she still isnt open smh
