Paradise Skate Roller Rink

I took my daughter here today for her 13^th birthday. It is a very cute roller skating rink!
The staff are all very nice & professional, the prices are very fair and the rink itself is very well maintained and clean.
There is a DJ that plays music, strobe lights with glow in the dark skating and even games during the skating session that the kids really enjoy!
We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning for more skating fun in the sun!

I had not been here in 10 years and boy was I surprised.
We went for the Friday 4 – 6:30 session, quite a few people were there but it wasn’t packed.
The employees were all really friendly, one guy who was managing the skating floor kept giving the kids tips on skating and showing off tricks, he was awesome. All other staff interaction was fantastic.
We had such a good time I know we will be back again and again.

I went on ‘hip hop night’ and there was a good vibe. Some racist people might say that it’s ghetto, but it was mostly just parents, kids, and some teenagers having a good time. Everyone was really polite and friendly (including the other people skating) and I think you can buy a cup of ice water for under a dollar. I will admit the line for food/​drinks took a while, but that’s the one complaint I have for my whole experience. If you don’t like hip hop, you may want to go at a different time. Don’t let racist people tell you that it’s when the ‘thugs take over’, because it was basically all well-​mannered children with their families.
I had a good time, I’d go again.

First time here. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rink was smaller than I expected it to be but I still had fun regardless. The music selection is good. My only complaint is that when they dim the lights to put on the disco lights, the quick flashes of color was making me very dizzy. Asides from that, this place is a good way to kill time. Will be returning!

Hands down, THE BEST MUSIC EVER! When they say hip hop and r&b, there was not a SINGLE song that was bad! The floor was smaller than I like but practical. The atmosphere… amazing! The music, AMAZING! The staff, AMAZING! MAD I don’t live close… mad. I am actually considering going back soon because of how great this place is.

The wooden rink is awesome. All the workers were very kind to my kids and gave them both skating tips.
Biggest complaint is honestly the laces on the skates. They were broken and re knotted together anor completely frayed on the ends. Seems like a small investment to keep the place from seeming shabby.

I love this place I go every weekend with friends. I think the only thing I have to say is that I gets way to crowded with little kids during the day. So I go later so there isn’t a lot of people and also when you go later in the day its super fun to watch the dance skaters!!!

We had so much fun. It’s been a while since we’ve skated. But coming here brought back so many great memories. Great for the family. Economical… And just plain good times. It was a blast for the kids n us. Check it out Paradise Skates.

We had an amazing Birthday Party for our youngest daughter at Paradise Skate in Antioch. Paradise Skate is a great place for a birthday party. They have done an incredible job improving this place.

Had a party here over the weekend and totally disappointed with the whole experience; employees, food, set-​up, etc.
There is no space at all to sit/​set up your party. You’d think they’d have a party room but instead they just have benches/​tables set up 5 feet from the wall of the rink, which has a constant flow of people running/​skating by. The whole time we are being pushed/​squeezed by passerby’s trying to get to their own table or onto the rink, etc. The tables were also very small, barely enough space to fit a pizza box let alone all the people that were there to eat it.
Extra money was paid to have popcorn and drinks provided. Upon arrival, the popcorn was extremely stale, almost as if left overnight! And it took almost half the party to receive our drinks in pitchers, but they gave us no cups. Had to ask two more employees and wait another 10 minutes for those.
The birthday boy/​girl is entitled to go in the «Party Machine», which is an air whirl machine that you try and catch tickets in to win prizes. We get her inside, and it’s broken. Have to wait 10 minutes for them to fix it. Finally they’re ready, and we get her in only to find there is only like 7 tickets inside to catch; seriously?! I guess they don’t want you to win anything. She ended up catching all of the tickets, half of which were free passes to come back. All of us agreed that wasn’t going to happen, we’ll probably sell them.
Every stall in the bathroom was out of toilet seat covers and all four machines were out of paper towels. Getting here is a hassle since you can barely find the place with the one little sign they have, then you have to go down a terrible dirt road to find the smallest parking lot you’ve ever seen.
This whole place is a mess and makes no sense. Ghetto, run down, and not worth it. Don’t have a party here, don’t skate here, don’t come here.

Oh my God, the staff at this skating place is the best. Last night we was here for a young ladies 15 birthday. First because none of us had ever been to the place and didn’t know it didn’t open till 8:30 on Saturday’s. The manager was really nice she let us pay a head of time. When it did open the place is very clean and family friendly. The music they played was also very family friendly. If you are looking for a place to skate go visit them.

I have been a skater for over 30 years and now my kids love it too. We decided to take a drive to Paradise Skate and I was surprised from the moment we walked in. I have been to more than 100 rinks in my life so I have seen the good ones and then bad ones.
The staff was very nice and very helpful. They were great with the kids too. The rink was very clean! It looked like it was recently remodeled in the last couple of years. The floor was new as well. The snack bar and eating area was clean and well layed out. Plenty of tables to sit at and relax. The bathrooms were clean, freshly painted, and didn’t have graffiti everywhere.
I felt safe with my kids there. They played age appropriate music for the kids, they played games, and made it fun for the family. The management at the rink really does a nice job and you can tell that they have fun and enjoy what they do. I will definitely be back again!

Not sure how i feel. the lady at the window was nice. i had to pay to come in with the kids even though i was skating. staff inside very rude. one of the guys in here didnt think that the kid he was talking to belong to me and the way he was talking to him was rude. they need a few classes in proper handling of their customers. the lights turned off for only 5 mins which when i asked why arent the lights off they told me it depends on if the skaters behave!!!

Having lived here for 25 years, I’ve watched the continual decline of Antioch, and the way the ghetto element has taken over so many parts of the city. I was very saddened last night to see that one of the last «family fun things to do» establishments in the area has also been overtaken.
I will admit, I haven’t been to this place for a few years on a Friday or Saturday night, but I was completely unprepared for what we encountered last night.
First, I was STUNNED that as a parent, bringing in two kids to skate, I had to pay the same admission fee as those skating just to get in, so I could keep an eye on my kids. Also, they’ve raised the prices, and due to the element they attract, now have a uniformed security guard. And $ 5 for a 75-​cent bottle of beer? More than most bars charge?
After making my displeasure over having to pay to get in to watch my kids very apparent, the manager approached me (and the other parent with me who brought in 3 kids as well, and was also VERY unhappy about having to pay just to keep an eye on our kids) to explain why they’ve implemented this policy. Also, he explained that on Saturday nights they have «Hip Hop» night to attract a certain crowd. Which seems to be working quite well. It was clear he was informing us that this is no place to bring your kids on a Saturday night in the ghetto.
I was SHOCKED to see and hear the lyrics that were being displayed on all the video screens, including the huge projection screen on the end wall of the rink. Nothing was censored — Motherf*****, Nig***, all of it… loud and proud? The kids were even offended. What is this place promoting?
I’m sure things are different during the daytime — the time the manager suggested for family skating, when parents don’t have to pay to come in.
So is this what we’ve become? If you want to do something fun with your family you need to do it during the daytime, because on Friday and Saturday nights in Antioch, the thugs take over? Apparently…
I’m really saddened that this business is promoting this element. Instead of doing everything they can to discourage it, they’re capitalizing on it.
What a pity. This once beautiful city, and once fun & safe business, has fallen into the darkness that it will never escape.
Parents beware.

They hosted my son’s birthday party here and it was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating (although you can’t bring your own food but have to settle with their catered pizza).
They have all the birthday cake supplies and for their package, they include a dedicated hostess for you. The cost of hosting a party here is almost the same as Chuck E. Cheese, but difference is here, you get 2.5 hours of fun and it’s not as rushed as Chuck E. Cheese. The place here is also more sporty as kids have more fun exercising than playing video games.

Love coming here for roller derby practice! New wood floor is so nice to skate on. Even had my daughters birthday party here

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon, really looks great inside, from outside you will be hesitant but don’t judge a book by its cover. Staff was good but they need to have more people available, great thing the ring was empty lots of space to skate! They have roller assistance for toddlers that are skating for the first time, overall lots of fun.

Once you see a *PARADISE SKATE* billboard make a right onto a dirt road and drive straight; it’ll be on the left.
Been here twice and nothing’s changed besides them adding a air hockey! Yippee.
This place is a good decent place for kids and people who like to rollerblade. The prices are kinda pricey. 29.00 for a whole pizza, when you can get a 5.00 pizza at Caesars pizza.
If you plan on having a party, I say it’s cheaper than renting the place. But beware you still have to pay to pay $ 40.00 to bring in your own cake. Uhhhm what? Lol. $ 20.00 is put on hold only for «insurance» do clean up your area so you can get 20.00 back. That’s 20.00 for buying your own cake plus $ 40.00 to bring in the cake. That’s 60.00 gone already. Damn, plus kids get thirsty and hungry. Bye bye money for a couple hours.
Now let’s talk about hours. They open for certain times. Because there are apparently two sessions. Call them to know the sessions. You’ll end up going in and having to leave like 30 minutes later because they’ll close and then reopen. So double check the hours.
Other than that. You can get in for free, all you pay is if your skating. That’s probably the only good thing about this place :) oh and the music, good choices. The songs varies.

I’ve visited this rink a few times this year. My friend is a derby girl, so we try to support her team by coming to their bouts. I have not skated any other days/​times, so this really is for the Thursday night, 18+ skating time slot.
The couple of times I’ve come out, the rink is pretty empty, except with the derby gals practicing and a few other customers getting their groove on. I LOVE skating, but I’m not very good at it. I am pretty nostalgic as I frequented them often back in the 80’s and taught myself to skate by being one of those kids who clung to the wall trying to figure out how to balance. Since you don’t have contend with the billions of other bodies during this time slot, there is plenty of floor space for you to jam around safely while enjoying the music. I think if you really want to enjoy it (as an adult skater), its best to come when it is 18+. Otherwise, with tons of other kids on the floor or other newbies, it may not be so fun.
I was told they have skate-​mates for rent, which is awesome to know if you want to bring an unexperienced skater with you. They have snack bar (soda, beer & limited mixed drinks), soda & snack machines and a skate store to purchase skates. The staff seem friendly enough to at least make for easy transactions. Yes, I’d return to Paradise Skate!

I took my 8 year old son and his friends to Paradise Skate two weeks ago for his Birthday Party. He loved it. Fun new carpet met us as we entered and the new wood floor is a dream to skate on.
The price for a party is extremely reasonable especially if you compare it to the other child birthday party options available. You get a party host that helps to make sure that everything goes smooth and she was awesome. She took the cake and placed it in the refrigerator until we were ready.
The kids loved skating and then our party host helped us to have pizza and cut and serve the cake. Then the part that my 8 year old loved the most came as he had the opportunity to go into the prize machine. He gets to go into this booth with Paradise Skate bucks in it and then they turn on the wind and cause the bucks to spin around him. He gets 30 seconds to grab as much as he can then he was able to turn them in for a Paradise Skate birthday present. The prize machine made his birthday.
Thanks to the staff for the great party. It’s fun to have a party for your kid and watch him have a great time.
