The food is good, the prices are very good. The location is a tad creepy though. I think someone described it as a post-apocalyptic abandoned mall in another review. I had never been to the abandoned mall so I wasn’t ready for it. If you can overcome the eerie location the food won’t disappoint.

This is the best Colombian food you’ll find around Nashville, and is the best Latin american restaurant I’ve been to out of the few that we have. Since moving here from Miami, this is the only place that matches what you would find in Miami on price and taste. The restaurant is located in the upstairs food court of a mall that had some serious issues in the past and lost a lot of stores and customers, but this restaurant is nothing like what you would typically eat in a mall food court. Don’t go for the ambiance — go for the freaking delicious food. I recommend getting their arepas, some sweet fried plaintains, yuca frita, steak anything, and washing it down with some Lulo juice. Stand up and scream«QUERICOPAPI!» Dance to some Cumbia only you can hear in your mind, then promptly collapse into food coma.

Legit! Note: some of the apps are only served on the weekend(i.e. the yucca bread, etc). Super friendly owner and customer service.

This food lives up to the hype. It’s affordable, delicious, made fresh, has ton of options, and you can tell it’s made by people who care. This is definitely worth a visit.

Yes, the place is inside and abandoned mall, quite strange, but I do find it interesting though and at least doesnt feel like you are a ar crowded soul-less mall. But most importantly, the food at this Colombian place is AMAZING. Fresh, tasty, authentic and really refreshing to be able to eat south american food other than Mexican. Ricky explained us what each of the items in the menu were and it was very helpful. Food was delicious and portions are generous. Will be back!

Man, I leave Nashvegas for a few years and you guys get all international on me? We don’t even have a dedicated Colombian place in my part of California! I was actually going to the community center and found myself curious about the food court… in the deserted mall. Maybe it’s because it was before lunchtime and on a weekday, but it definitely had a super-quiet, eerie vibe. But who cares when you can get freshly-made arepas for less than the cost of a McDonald’s burger? I will be back. Definitely need to try the rest of the menu.

Excellent food! This is my first time trying Colombian food, and it was cheap and delicious. Ive often been disappointed by highly rated restaurants, but not this time. I had the bandeja paisa which includes three kinds of meat, rice, beans, egg, avocado, arepa and plantains. My favorite was the steak and arepa with homemade hot sauce. The owner is nice and attentive. Come by!

I am not on expert on columbian food, but this was great! Your food is cooked fresh to order and the atmosphere is definitely unique! The old mall is mostly empty and feels like the set of a post-apocalyptic movie set. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced.

This is the most authentic Colombian food I have had in the U.S. outside of Jackson Heights, NY. The prices are extremely reasonable, too. If you’re not sure what to get, I suggest the Bandeja Paisa, which comes with a huge portion of skirt steak, rice, fried egg, avocado slice, sausage, chicharron(fried pork rind), fried plantain, arepa and beans — all for ten bucks! Also try the yucca, it’s amazing. The proprietor, Ricky, is very friendly and will give great recommendations if you’re willing to try Latin food of a flavor and dimension way off the beaten path. I give 5 stars for the quality of food, flavor, super value and terrific service. Keep in mind, however, that this establishment is in the food court of a practically deserted mall, so the facilities and ambiance are somewhat lacking, to put it mildly. Park on upper side for easiest access.

People, Listen to me! This gem is located in the olé Hickory Hollow mall, but don’t let that discourage you from going and having your food brains blown out. Besides the old food court having some real treats in there, Rico Ricky’s is legit. I tried the pork and chicken arepas on my first visit along with a diet pepsi(in a can) and give it 2 thumbs up. Family owned and operated you can truly feel the amount of effort that is involved in one of Nashville’s hidden treats.

Very friendly staff and good food. The only downside is the location but it’s worth it for a nice change of pace dinner.

I love Latin food… Latin music… Latin novelas(soap operas)…and hot Latin men!(William Levy… oh geez… squirrel…distractions…) It’s hard to find good non-Mexican restaurants around here, so when I find a good one… I get all excited and I have to tell all my friends to share in with the«wealth.» This place is a Columbian-run restaurant… I don’t mean cartel-run…I mean the owners themselves manage, cook, and serve! It’s nothing more than authentic Bogota-Cartagena food! Mike and Ricky(the owners are son and step dad) are magnificos — very attentive and accommodating to your health or diet needs without alternating the taste… they are also sweet and fun… don’t be surprised if you see them dancing in the opened kitchen! The menu offers entrees… which include beef, chicken, and pork dishes(all separate, not together) and vegetarian options… appetizers. which include but are not limited to… the traditional and famous Columbian arepas — plain or stuffed… buñuelos(pronouced boo-new-el-los), empanadas(similar to Jamaican beef patties), plantains, and yuca bread(all these are gluten-free but you would have never guessed due to you being so occupied with your taste buds dancing and enjoying these new sabores… I mean flavors)…SEE I’m so excited my esssspanishhh is coming out! Rico Ricky’s is in the Global mall(in the old Hickory Hollow Mall)…food court… opened all week until 8:00 pm… including weekends(closed Mondays)! Prices range from $ 1.00−10.00. You MUST try it out! I’m inviting my friends this Saturday night there for dinner… and maybe do a little salsa dancing afterwards…
