The staff is incompetent. I waited one month for an appointment. It was a Saturday appointment. They called Friday to confirm the appointment with me. His staff advised me to come by 2:15 on Saturday, my appointment was at 2:30. I advised that shouldn’t be a problem but that I was coming from Livermore because my daughter had a horse back riding lesson. I got there on Saturday, his staff motioned me to wait, they then called me I advised I had a 2:30 appointment. She informed me that because it was a Saturday appointment and I had not confirmed the appointment they canceled the appointment. I explained to her that I spoke to someone on Friday, she advised she did not work Friday but that she tried calling that morning. I advised I did not notice a missed call but i was in Livermore as I told the person I spoke to on Friday. She apologized but did nothing to remedy the situation. I was being seen to help with my anxiety, and the whole ordeal caused me a great deal of anxiety. I did not bother scheduling another appointment after waiting a whole month just to have my appointment canceled due to his staffs error and be treated rude and unprofessionally.

Dr. Leon was a great doctor when I had him, unfortunately he doesn’t take my insurance anymore. He is very to the point, no nonsense. He is a great doctor that doesn’t make you jump through any hoops in order to get prompt care. He sometimes runs late, and doesn’t take my insurance anymore– which is why the –1 star. Other than that, great.

This was my first time seeing a psychiatrist & it was not a pleasant one. I was already feeling vulnerable at the time of the visit and he only made matters worse. He was late and appeared to be irritable and in a rush to get me out of there. When I started crying, he made me aware of a tissue box with out a look of sympathy or empathy in his eyes. His whole demeanor was very cold. After a brief discussion with him & a short questionnaire(5 – 7 questions), he had a full diagosis and rattled off 3 prescriptions with little explanation & quickly ushered me out of the office. He did not appear open to any questions at all. Needless to say, I left the office in tears and have never filled any of the prescriptions as I don’t feel he took the care in assessing me properly.
