Came for a few things ended up buying several they were on sale plus needed to find a certain item asked an employee she directed me right to it. Went into Deli — Bakery needed some fresh lunch stuff service back there was so so waited while employees were chatting it up! I finally said something hello I need some service got my items then went to check out my cashier was friendly can’t remember her name but she always there dark hair in a bun and young and wears a pretty scarf.

Obviously the employees who work here are not concerned about having you as a repeat customer. No care, no smile and almost no help when you ask for assitance(in meat dept, produce, and floor items). I get the feeling im bothering them when I ask them something. Im forced to come here because Safeway on Hillcrest is out of the way for me. If the manager of this store ever reads this… hear this… the customer service your employees give and the attitude they show can be described in one word…“Sucks”!

Had to utilize the pharmacy. Complete waste of time. Lady pharmacist directed me incorrectly and I wasted over ten minutes!

Like many others have previously stated, I don’t know why I still come here. It always seems like they only have 1 to 2 cashiers open at all times. The lines are ridiculously long. Maybe I shop here because its right down the street from my house. I’m honestly sick and tired of this place. Some of the staff are friendly, but I think I will just drive a little further for quicker service and a safer store.

I don’t know why i keep coming here. Probably because it’s where my mom took us when we were kids and i keep thinking of how good it used to be. The cashiers are just so upset that you are there spending good money. Smiles, greetings and eye contact do not exist here. Today after standing in line for 15 min i was finally next and thats when the cashier just stopped what she was doing. She looked down the line at her coworker who was on her break and in line. Rosa my cashier yells out, «to bad no one is nice enough to let you just go through instead of wasting your break.» she then glares at me. WOW! Way to make me feel like scum. I have places to go and only three items… you didn’t see me seeking a closer place in line. The nice old lady behind me offered her spot in line but the employee looked embarrassed and said thanks but no thanks. So now Rosa is just extra grumpy that her friend isn’t at the register right that second. When she starts to ring me up i say, «good morning.» annnnd nothing… silence… doesn’t even look at me… she then rings up my lemons and just TOSSES them down the belt, then all my other items one by one are just tossed. No care for the fact that she just smashed everything to hell. i was so frustrated with the whole thing i wanted to find a manager but the bagger was so nice and gave me a sympathetic smile. The bagger even wished me a good day! So moral of the story… if you want rude service this is the place for you… me i’ll drive a little farther to get friendly service.

I’ve been shopping here for over 10 years. I love this store and the people that work there. I have never had a bad experience there. I’m so suprised of the negative comments. Must have been unusually bad days. Show me a grocery store without long lines, and I’ll show you one that’s going out of business.

What happened to the days when you were appreciated because you were a customer and you were GIVING money AND they wanted you to come back? What happened to the day when you brought your grocery cart up of items and the cashier said«hi» with a smile and actually made some small form of chit-chat with you to show you in some lame way that they were glad you came in. I think that maybe those days do still exist BUT not here. I have been to this store before and they have given me okay service(nothing to ever write home about) but I like it because it is a comfortable, old school style of store and not some over the top, fancy schmancy, uppity one where I felt uncomfortable at. When I brought my cart up to Barbara’s register, she was dealing with a woman that wanted $ 200 in cash. They kind announced it rather loud so that if I was a thug, I could follow her and get that money… luckily, I am not that kind of girl! They gave her her money, made idle chit-chat and treated her rather nicely. Great… my turn… maybe I can get the nice words and smile… HA!!! NOSUCHLUCK!!! Barbara used all her smiles and nice words on the lady and had NONE for me… not even a «Hey, Hi, What’s Up, Howdy doo» NOTHING!!! I questioned her on why I can’t even have a greeting… Barbara’s answer was«Sorry Ma’am. Do you want me to start this all over and then I can greet you properly» all said with her teeth slightly clinched. Nice. And, uh… no thanks. Raley’s and Safeway… I am so sorry I turned my back… Never again will I stray. At least I get some form of appreciation… which is all I ever wanted, to begin with.
