Warning TMI about to come your way… I had to have a cervical biopsy and I was afraid! I had had one done years before and it hurt and I am a baby. It was a little difficult to make an appointment (it is a call center so they only have so much information). Once I arrived the front staff was good, the office is busy but efficient. When I was called back to be seen Dr Wada met me in his office. He asked me many many questions about my medical history and then informed me of exactly what he was going to do. I will have to say when he used cervix, clamp, and needle in the same sentence I thought I was going to vomit. However, he made me feel very comfortable and confident in the up coming procedure.
Once we were done talking and all my questions were answered I was led to the «procedure room». Once I was in the vulnerable stir up position Dr Wada explained everything while he was doing it. He ran into a few small obstacles… such as my very small cervical opening. When this was discovered he requested «dilators» and more needles (for pain control) I was still comfortable. Once the procedure was completed I would have to say it really wasn’t that bad. It was uncomfortable but nothing like the first time. It was like an extended pap exam. During the entire process Dr Wada was reassuring and checked in to see if I was doing okay. When my results were back Dr Wada called and gave me the results. (Negative!!) I really appreciate all he did for me, I can not recommend him enough!

Well two babies down and I couldn’t have done it without Dr. Wada… and my husband of course.
Both of my pregnancies were very normal. No real complications. The only down side was my 1^st pregnancy resulted in a c-​section that I really didn’t want to have. My son decided it go breech on his due date. Even though we waited three days to see if he’d flip on his own. Which he didn’t and I still hadn’t gone into labor. So c-​section it was.
The second time around I opted for a scheduled c-​section. Dr. Wada gave me the option of choosing V-​BAC or another c-​section. I had to let him know about 3 weeks before my due date. It really gave me time to explore my options. Not 3 days like my son gave me previously.
While I don’t advocate for c-​sections, if you do have one, have Dr. Wada do it. I’ve had quite a few people see my scar and say it’s the best c-​section surgery scar they’ve seen. Placement and size is barley noticeable. Not to mention my recovery went so well after each birth. This definitely due to great hospital staff over at Sutter and Dr. Wada.
Then in regards to all around Dr. He’s the the best! I got my tubes tied and he answered all my questions thoroughly. Any issues I’ve ever had I can just call and leave a message with his staff and get prompt phone calls back.
I’ve recommended him multiple times. If you’re one of those women who doesn’t want a man gyno but you aren’t having luck with finding the best woman gyno, trust me, come see Dr. Wada.

Dr. Wada is one of the most personable and professional doctors I have ever had. I moved to Antioch from Oregon and Dr. Wada was highly recommended. Dr. Wada actually saved my life. What my other doctors thought were fibroids were actually enlarged ovaries. Without making me fearful, he sent me for further tests and then immediate referred me to surgical oncologist. At every step, Dr. Wada personally called to keep me updated and to assure I was ok. Dr. Wada assisted the surgeon and it was confirmed that I had ovarian and cervical cancer. The «praise the Lord» moment was when both of those cancers were confirmed as stage 1. I’m here today because Dr. Wada pursued something my other doctors did not. I know others who are Dr. Wada’s patients and we are all amazed that everyone of us get a personal call with the outcome whenever we have our pap tests (or any test) done.
He has also been my daughter’s OB doctor and has been amazing! Thank you Dr. Wada.

I can’t say enough good about Dr. Wada and his entire staff. They are all incredibly professional, compassionate and helpful. 20 years ago when I moved to the Bay Area, I was convinced that I would NEVER find another OB/​GYN as good as mine back home. However after meeting Dr. Wada for the first time I knew that my search was over. I appreciate how thorough he is with every office visit and he never makes you feel rushed or stupid for asking questions. Most of all, he doesn’t wait and send out an impersonal note about test results. He knows at times we are sitting on pins and needles and he doesn’t take that for granted. In fact, he often works quite late into the evening to make sure he personally follows up with his patients. His personal and easy going style makes an uncomfortable or scary situation or procedure so much more palatable. If you are looking for the best doctor around, go to Dr. Scott Wada. You’ll be glad you did. I know I am.

I had to switch OB/GYN’s during my 20^th week of pregnancy due to an insurance change– I was leaving Kaiser where I had been seen for my pregnancy since week 5, and was horrified! I did not know what to expect and was extremely stressed about having to go to a different provider and facility altogether.
After seeing Dr. Wada for the first time, I knew I was in the right place. He makes you feel calm, explains everything you should need to know, and his staff are all wonderful as well. (sandy, cathy, and the other girl!- don’t know her name) I will never go to another OB/​GYN by choice.

Dr. Wada and his staff are friendly, professional and make you feel so comfortable. He delivered my friends baby who I was a coach for in the delivery room. He answers all your questions and may even joke with you. He calls you back personally with all your test results. Even if they are completely fine. The level of care he provides is above and beyond. Thank you Dr. Wada.

Dr. Wada is such a good MD! He is very thorough and takes his time explaining your health! Everyone can appreciate that. His MA Sandra does a great job as well making sure that any response or issues are handled VERY promptly. I NEVER have an issue!

LOVE DR WADA & DR YEE! Dr. Yee was on maternity leave so I had to see Dr. Wada. I’m not to fond of male obgyn however I totally forgot he was a male, made me feel so comfortable. The staff is awesome, it feels like family.
