Stunners n Smashers Spalon

First off I don’t review often but I always look at reviews before I go anywhere. I was floored when I saw the reviews of this place. I first started comming here about five years ago when I heard about the «Sunday Special» Dry hair cut for $ 25 bucks. (Can’t beat that.) I am always in a rush so I go to whoever is available meaning I have seen about everyone. And I have NEVER had a bad cut. The girls are always so nice.
Today I went in, again for a dry cut ($ 35 not on Sunday) and saw Gabriela. Walked out beautiful as always. This is one time I say don’t trust the reviews. Go check them out. If you want a million dollar haircut without the price you have to try them.
They also have other specials sometimes. Once they gave me a condition treatment for like $ 15 bucks.

I was referred to shareen from a friend, and so i tried her for eyelash extensions. i was very pleased with the results and really enjoyed having shareen do it herself because she is very experienced. i would recommend her eyebrow threading also.

Ok, I have been going to Stunners n Smashers for a while to get my eye brows threaded. After a tragic trip to the nail salon for an eyebrow wax (I went home with 1 ½ eyebrows), Shareen was my savior! Super nice, fast and always did a great job. But this review isn’t about Shareen, its about the other threader and the rude receptionists.
I commute to Benicia and can hardly make it home by 5:45 if I leave work early– so I have a small window of time to make any appointment since most places close at 6 or 7. «Receptionist A» called me on Thursday saying Shareen was out sick and she was going to have to move my 5:45 to 2:00. I told her I couldn’t make that time and asked to reschedule for Friday at the same time. I don’t know what she didn’t understand about «I will reschedule for the same time tomorrow» but there was a lot of back and forth and apparently she still didn’t get it right on the books.
On Friday I get a voicemail from «Receptionist B» saying that there is a problem with my appointment and that I need to call back right away. When I called her back I tell her my name and asked about the problem with my appointment at 5:45. Her response, «oh the other girl wrote you down for hella late– 5:45 works we’ll see you then.» Then she continued to ramble on about how the threader has to pick up her daughter later and to make sure I was on time. I still am not sure what «hella» late is because I received an email confirming my appointment at 5:45.
At 5:30 I received another call from «Receptionist B» saying that the girl doing my eyebrows can’t wait for me any longer and has to go. I explained to her that this was already a re-​schedule and that I was not late for my appointment. She suggested to reschedule again in the morning and even offered their service at a discounted rate because of my troubles. I told her that I wanted my eyebrows done because I will be out of town for the weekend and the only time I could come in would be 8am-​knowing they don’t open until 10. Not sure where a manager was but Im sure they wouldn’t be happy to know their employees are canceling appointments to take off early. I told «Receptionist B» to forget it and wouldn’t be returning to their salon. Her parting words, «Ohhh wow, sounds like we have a dilemma.» *click*
This salon used to be kept up better maybe the pressure of running two (Antioch and Brentwood) has caused them to go down hill. Hopefully Shareen realizes she should be working somewhere cleaner with better customer service-​if she hasn’t already.

Their sign and Unilocal both say they’re open ’til 5pm on Sundays. Last I checked, 4:12pm is not after 5pm. Unacceptable.

Shareen threads my eyebrows and every time I get them done, I ALWAYS get compliments from strangers. And she’s fast! The receptionist is very friendly as well.

Cindy is great! Prices are reasonable. Quality excellent!
