Hi everyone. I just wanted to updated my comment, and let you know that my smile is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Dr. Vontela. I recommend her to everyone looking for a family dentist or for ortho. Her staff is also great!

Dr. Vontella is the best! All 4 of my children, my husband, and myself are under her care, and we will go nowhere else. My daughter had a horrific experience at a different dental office and it took her 2 years to be able to trust another Dentist. Dr. Vontella is so caring, gentle, and honest. Her staff is equally caring and professional. Highly recommended! Especially good for kids!

Dr. Rekha Vontela is the best dentist for us! We have been with Dr Vontela for some time now and we will remain so due to her outstanding practice. As a professional she is knowledgeable, very gentle, and listens to our concerns. Dr. Vontela’s staff resonates her customer philosophy, they too are always professional and kind. In particular, our school-​aged son is no longer uneasy during dental visits after years of struggles and fuss with prior DDS. Dr Vontela’s Antioch facility is cozy and most importantly her tools as well as the cleaning/​disinfecting process are visible, which gives me confidence that the facility practices health safety in accordance with state regulations.

My husband and I (as well as my daughter and family) have been going to Dr. Vontela for over 4 years, and we all think she is absolutely wonderful! Dr. Vontela is highly skilled, thoroughly knowledgeable, very professional, and very gentle. She carefully explains every procedure, and in certain circumstances will recommend a patient see another dentist for a particular problem. Dr. Vontela is an honest, caring, trustworthy, and loving person who is always a pleasure to see. Her staff is delightful, and makes you feel at home. If you are looking for a dentist or simply want to change the one you now have, I sincerely recommend Dr. Rekha Vontela!

Dr. Vontela is the best dentist i have ever went to! she is extremely gentle and kind! Her staff is awsome as well. They are very punctual, funny, kind, and make the whole dentist experience fun rather than painful. Coming from a previous dental office who tortured me, I was hesitant to start with someone new, but Dr. Vontela made everything better! I will always come to them for any work needed on me I will also bring my daughter once she grows her full set of teeth!

The girl working the front desk was personable. That was a plus. Having just moved to the area and seeking a new
dentist, I trusted the below Unilocal reviews. I found this dentist on my insurance provider’s list of in-​network providers, however, when I arrived for my cleaning, they were hesitant to do anything for fear that they wouldn’t be paid by the insurance carrier. I had previously informed them of my insurance provider on the phone when scheduling this appointment and they replied that they accept the insurance.
The dentist checked out my mouth, but didn’t want to do the cleaning at all until the insurance provider pre-​authorized it on another visit. Until she saw the expression on my face and said something along the lines of the fact that she will do it anyway to make me happy. Quickest cleaning I’ve ever had.
So far, it must sound like I’m calling the dentist cheap.
She is.
Her practice is outdated. I stopped the dental assistant from sticking something in my mouth before asking her if it was clean. She assured me that it was and I felt weird having to suggest they replace the tool, as it looked like a chewed up retainer from someone’s middle school past. The dentist made conversation as she worked, asking about my job. She took that a little too far by asking about my pay. Topping it all off, as I left, she welcomed me to California by telling me that I must have saved lots of money by not having to move a whole family with me.
I will be looking elsewhere for a dentist to fill the cavity that Dr. Vontela noted.

Love Dr. Vontela and her dental assistant Shanie, they made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. Almost makes you feel like your family. They’re all very friendly and I also like how Dr. Vontela explains every procedure. She’s very good at answering questions as well. Dr. Vontela did an excellent job closing my gab in the front of my teeth with braces of course. She did a solid job making it sure it doesn’t open by putting a permanent retainer in the back and wearing the clear ones over it and did a gum procedure. Her office is very clean and tidy which is also a plus. I love my teeth, and I’d highly recommend her to anyone. She’s an awesome dentist!

I have to say this was my best experience ever at any dentist anywhere in the USA and I have lived all over this country… I am the biggest wimp, baby & chicken when it comes to dentist due to past experiences. From the time I made my first phone call to make my appointment (I spoke to 6 different dentist offices looking for kindness) till the phone call the next day from Dr Vontela to check on me. I felt nothing but kindness, patience, and gentleness in every step of this processes. I even had a crown, a filling and deep root cleaning all in one sitting! This was the most dental work I have ever had at once. wow. I’m almost proud of myself but I know I couldn’t have done it without Dr. Vontela and her awesome staff!!! Thank you again, you made this a good experience, which is amazing!!!

Love this Dentist our whole family goes here and we are very pleased with every thing! She is kind, patient, and most impotantly gentle. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Vontela has been our family dentist for over 2 years. She has taken care of me, my husband, our four grand children and our two foster children. She is a great dentist. She is very personable and even helped me through a rough spot emotionally. Maybe she should have another practice as a counselor! Absolutely love her!

She is the BEST!
Gentle, patient, kind, and she really listened to me.
Before I scheduled my first appointment, I had a lengthy telephone conversation with Dr. Rekha expressing my general fears and low tolerance for pain when it comes to visiting the dentist. She assured me that she would be attuned to my needs.
My first appointment was approx. 6 months ago for a cleaning and, at my request, she numbed my gums and I was able to relax, knowing that there would be no pain.
I told my husband how much I liked her so we both went to her for our next 6 month cleaning and she was as good as I had remembered.
My husband said she was very through and he was impressed that she did not try to «sell» us unnecessary treatments that would have increased the bill, as we have had with other dentists in the past.
